Since we do not have Don Wallace to tout all the outright dog winners, and since I have a little extra time on my hands today, I thought I would start this dog thread.

I pledge not to bet a favorite this week (though I do really like Rutgers) and I especially like dogs in annual rivalry games and we have some good ones this week. Very good looking dogs in traditional rivalry games:

Pitt+10.5 (love the fact they are off a loss)
UNC+4.5 (yeah, they suck, but will win one for coach)
Michigan+6.5 (just the better team)
Bama+3 (imo, auburn overrated all year)

Not as strong in my opinion, but still worth a shot:

Vandy+8.5 (too many points)
Washington+9 (off scary loss, but Pullman is tough place to play)
K State+2 (maybe hangover effect, but love this coach)

Other dogs worth a strong look

Maryland +7.5 (still no respect, will be close)
Cal+6 (again, love the fact they are off a loss)
Ok State+6 (just the better team, can score with them)

That is 10 great dogs for you. Add to the list if you like, but I expect a lot of barking this weekend. If not, I am taking a few weeks off since I am going to load up on a few of these games.

Good Luck!

I agree, he was totally out of line, but had some fun with him for a while. My post in no way endorses what he said.

I really do think there is a lot of value in most of these plays. I love the rivalry games.

Lets watch and see what happens

Don't get alll locked into "dogs". There's a time and place for everything. I didn't read much of what he wrote. Found him a bad distraction once I saw a post or two from him. That being said, the NFL for instance, is all about parity. And I think the college game is not too far off that trend itself this year. Because he may have hit on a few dog plays, doesn't make the idea anything of a revelation.

FYI
He just may have not been around long enough to see the real longer term results.

GL on your action

Thanks Intense, I totally agree and always mix up my plays. I am not afraid to lay points and actually feel it is hard to be consistent if you do not. I was just having a little fun.

Also, I am now definitely laying the points with Rutgers. I think this team is focused and will not have a let down this week. Cincy just gives up too many yards on the ground to ignore this play. Liking it even more since I see a lot of Cincy hype out there.

I am going to pay particular attention to the WVA/Pitt game tonight. It may start the trend for the weekend.

Good Luck!
