just noticed at microsoft they have for free
windows defender
anyone have it and is it worth downloading?

it has been out for a long time. It is included in vista, and it replaced their antispyware they had out before. It does ia good job

I think it is only supported on xp and vista, not sure about 2000, I think they have stopped all support on that.

It sits in the system tray and doesn't bog the system down much. I don't really have many problems with spyware on my own computer, so not sure how it does to preventing that.
