Georgia Tech +110 :bigun:

show me the money

If you watched those two semifinal games last night, you can see that Georgia Tech is the better team. The Jackets are relentless on both ends of the floor and they will win this one outright. During one 8 1/2 minute stretch in the crucuial part of the second half of last nigfht's big comeback win over Memphis, GT held the Tigers to just one field goal. This team dominates on the glass and did so again last night with a 46-31 edge, including 29-2 in the seocnd half. Most teams would've quit last night, but not Tech, which is on a 12-2 ATS run dating back to last season. They've won and covered both their neutral court games this season and are averaging 91.4 points per game. With loads of easy in the pant looks at the basket, it's no wonder GT is shooting better than 50 percent from the field. But don't forget that the Jackets are converting 40 percent of their three balls, too. That fantastic freshman trio of Thaddeus Young, Javaris Crittenton and Zach Peacock, didn't even play well last night and the Jackets still one. Watch those three get off tonight against this Bruins team that is not near as tough defensively this year as last without departed seniors Cedric Bozeman. Point guard Jordan Farmer is also gone from last year's national runner-up squad and I don't like how the Bruins shot free throws last night (11-of-24) or from behind the arc (2-for-19). A repeat performance and Tech will run UCLA out of the gym. The Bruins may shoot better this evening, but it won't matter as Paul Hewitt's bunch wins this one outright.

WYOMING +8.5

It was just Saturday night in Laramie when Wyoming turned back UAB, 93-87. The Blazers had no way of stopping the Wyoming attack, and now in the return visit in this rare non-conference home-and-home series, the Blazers won't be able to cover this large number. The Pokes' Brad Jones (24.7 ppg) has been on fire and is a big reason why the Cowboys are averaging 87 points a contest in getting off to their 3-0 SU and 2-1 ATS start. They're shooting 78 percent from the free throw line (Blazers at 58 percent) and Wyoming is on a 19-12 ATS run as a dog. The Blazers (2-2 SU and 1-2 ATS), are not playing well defensively and coach Mike Davis readily admits he hasn't had his team well prepared on the defensive end of the floor this year. UAB is on a 19-24 ATS slide as a chalk, and while the Blazers might take the scoreboard win tonight, no way they cover this many points. Wyoming is the smart play here.

GONZAGA +8

The Zags aren't getting enough respect in this spot and they'll challenge this UNC team tonight in New York. Gonzaga (4-0 SU and 2-1 ATS) is averaging 87 points per game on 50.5 percent shooting. The Heels are shooting 55 percent from the field, but this will be their biggest challenge yet. And they're facing a team from a program that has historically played very well as a dog. The last two years when getting points, the Zags are 7-2 ATS. They've also covered 30 of their last 46 as a pup and are 7-0 SU and 6-1 ATS in their last seven against ACC foes. Coach Mark Few's team we know can score, but they're playing solid defense to this season in holding opponents to just 35.7 percent shooting (26.2 behind the arc). Now the Heels aren't just another team as the Heels are loaded with talent. But Coach Roy Williams hasn't gotten anywhere close to setting a rotation as this young club is still feeling its way through. The starting lineup features two frosh, two sophomores and a senior. This team is still learning to play with one another and the Heels (3-0 SU but 0-2 ATS) have failed to cover in both neutral court games this year. North Carolina will have a fight on its hands tonight and while UNC may win, no way it covers.

Siena -9.5

We need to break an online basketball slump, no question
about it. When the going gets tough, the tough get going
and exploit a bad team, which is Dartmouth, against a
hungry 0-2 superior team, which is Siena.

The Siena players are calling this a must-win. Shooting
guard Tay Fisher hasn't been shooting much. He is aching
to fill the net and he will not be meeting up with much
defensive resistance tonight, coming off having his shot
denied by some serious defense played by Pac 10 Stanford,
and perennial Patriot League title contender Holy Cross.

The Dartmouth head coach is calling this a game he'd like to
have three injured-and-out starters for, including the starting
point guard. The leading-scoring starter for Dartmouth tonight
averages 8 points per game.

Ray,

Bruins have Josh Shipp and are now beasts under the glass with Mata:box2: ...You are right about UCLA not shooting as poorly as last night...

Look for UCLA to slow down the game and come away with the championship...

Aloha bra.

I'm likin where you're head is iat Raymond..

I'm on UCLA -1/2 in the first half due to how hot theyve been starting and how poorly GTech started against Memphis. I can see Tech pullin this one off tho.

Love the Zags with you. Good luck
