are they really bad this year? i dont have much of a clue here; howd Alford get caught with pants down? ... they got thumped in runner-up game vs Nova, who dumped 10 treys on them in 2nd half ... they beat a couple patsies ... I know ASU isnt very good but it appears Iowa isnt either ... what do you guys think of this game?

thanx

I used to follow iowa pretty closely, both of their leaders graduated last year so im guessing they are still trying to find some chemestry. One thing that is for sure is they will be out coached.

Iowa is very young with the exception of Haluska who can't seem to find the basket right now. Alford always seems to have his pants down :) He has a couple of guys transfer out every year and has one hurt this year. If Tyler Smith gets going and Haluska finds his shot Iowa gets this one...but then again you know what happens when a team shoots sub 40% and has 20+ to's and this team is very capable of that ) I haven't seen a total yet but would tend to agree it might be a good play....I don't know much about ASU, but thats what I know about the Hawks.
Hope that helped a little?

Those losses are not on Sendek they are on the talent. Can't make a diamond out of a bunch of ****.

Sendek is a phenomenal X and O coach.

ASU doesnt really have much talent and are learning a new system...they lost their two biggest contributors from last year as well - Kreuger and K Kruger...so they have been searching for chemistry as well.

thanx guys

funny story about alford, one of my x-players coached fball at the first place alford coached hoops, some small college in midwest i forget ... anyhow, chris, my x-player, super super kid of all time, told me Alford was biggest baby hed ever seen b/c he would force people to play pick up games and then if he got down 6-0 or so playing to 15, hed fire the ball against the wall and scream at his teammates and make his opponents start over (taking a skunk); and if he lost 2 of 3, he wouldnt allow his opponents to leave until he got up 3 outta 5 or 5 outta 9 etc ... Chris told me many more tales about alford, non flattering ... I was in stitches on most of them ... A huge Baby, to say the least
