I like Arky in the SEC Championship. Fla will have a hard time stopping this ground attack. Dick cannot play worse than he did vs. LSU.

Depending o the line, Arky may be my largest play this season.

totally agreed, I watched the whole LSU game, I do not understand the though behind Nutt putting Dick back in at the end and going away from the McFadden QB formation. Bad coaching decision . Good lucks this week.

FWIW lots of smoke from Fayettnam, believe it or not, that Nutt may get canned. Lots of internal turmoil about the QB situation, and supposedly the OC is ready to walk.

Could be a factor...

So true. The Arky CBs, especially Houston, are small. Like LSU, Fla has a pair of large athletic WRs. Still, I figure Leak will struggle some w/ the Arky pass rush. Both DEs are tough, plus Arky brings LBs and DBs w/ regularity.

Fla D has performed well vs. the run overall this season, but stats can be deceptive. If you throw out Western Carolina, in the last 6 games Fla has allowed over 600 yds on less than 120 carries {over 5.0 ypc not counting sacks}. Fla has played w/o stud DT Marcus Thomas the second half of the season. I feel this week his loss will finally catch up w/ them against the incredible 2-headed Arky ground attack. Arky should be able to run well and open up the play-action pass. If Arky OC gets his head out of his a$$, Monk should be good for a couple of big plays.

The Gator kicking game is horrible-----> 3-12 in FG attemts and 3 missed PATs. Could cause problems for Fla in a close game. Arky PK is nothing to write home about, but the edge clearly goes to Arky. Plus, Fla kickoffs are short with very few touchbacks. Arky has an awsome kick return unit headed by Jones and McFad.

Ark piled up 300+ rushing yards against LSU and still lost...true sign of a one-dimensional offense. Florida D will feast on the Hogs. The Arkansas D doesn't scare me at all either. Like you guys said, the secondary is weak. All Arkansas does is blitz. Leak and Meyer will exploit this all day with the short curls across the middle that Harvin and Caldwell love to catch and turn into pig plays. Florida's speed will be too much for the hogs especially on the turf!!

Granted, the FG kicking is a joke, but for what it's worth, the goal of the Florida kickoff team is not to kick the ball into the endzone. in fact, they try to kick it to the left corner of the field (inside the 5 preferably) every time to set up their coverage.

YPP

YPP

Arky has outperformed Fla offensively away from home[ 6.3 ypp on the road vs. defenses allowing 5.6 ypp]

While the Gators have struggled in terms of offensive efficiency away from the swamp by gaining 5.4 ypp vs. defenses allowing 5.6 ypp.

I'm not going to say that the Hogs will beat Florida but if they piled up 300+ yards against the #1 defense in the country how will "Florida's D feast on the Hogs"? Am I missing something or is Florida's defense that good?

The Razorback passing game on Saturday was absolutely pitiful but Marcus Monk is very close to overcoming Anthony Lucas's all-time receiving record. I'm sure there will be major emphasis this week placed on the passing game and looking for Damian Williams & London Crawford with all of the secondary pressure on Monk. We'll see.

My point is that they still lost. they lost for 2 reasons. 1.) they could not stop LSU and 2.) they could not pass the ball.

Florida has been very good against the run all season. They will be able to key on McFadden because the Arkansas passing game is non-existant. Reggie Nelson will be spying #5 all game long.

NATE ALLEN ? NORTHWEST ARKANSAS TIMES
Despite playing one of its most physical games of the season, the Razorbacks appeared to have suffered no injuries of consequence in last Friday?s 31-26 loss to LSU in Little Rock, coach Houston Nutt said Sunday. ? Mon, November 27, 2006

I may add to Arky

Arky is healthy. Fla is not--TB Wynn has a "significant injury", and the OL is banged up. Arky pass rush will be able to get after Leak. Leak will not hold up vs the Arky pass rush.

Good luck Cie, am leaning to Hogs and Huskers
myself, but these two games are tuff ones. Hope
you hit them and more than likely I'll be right there
with ya :toast:
