No good info, but I would love to have schiano as the head coach. Would bringing him in cause Shannon to leave since he didn't get the spot? One would have to think that he (shannon) is in line for a HC job somewhere. Miami definitely does not want to lose him.

Sentiment here is that Rutgers will do anything and everything to keep him, they've got the money and I do think Schiano likes the idea of one day being the dominant program in the Northeast. Also Rutgers renewed his contract once while things were not going well and some think he'll pay them back for that courtesy.

They will need to offer Barry a VERY lucrative deal to lure him out of retirement. He says he is very happy with his AD job, and he will be doing some TV work for the BCS bowls. And he is treated like a god around here. But anything is possible.

From reading the local papers, Rutgers alumns will do whatever it takes to keep Schiano here. He is not house hunting in Jersey. He was given a sweetheart deal on a large parcel of land near the Rutgers campus and has already begun the "roots" of the house and program at RU. I would be very suprised if he took the Canes job. I think he has an eye on the Penn State job when Joe Pa finally gives it up.
