San Diego Chargers look mighty tasty at ?6. Most people realize that Merriman is coming back from his 4 game suspension which should make a difference but getting Castillo back and a few other starters that have been out for a couple of weeks should make a huge difference especially on the defensive side of the ball. After being sacked 32 times this year and with the Chargers leading the AFC in sacks Losman should find it difficult to find enough time to find any open receivers and Chargers strength is against the run. Last year the Chargers beat Buffalo 48-10 and outgained them 478-202 total yards after going into Marty Ball mode in the second half with a big lead. As you have seen, Marty Ball died 9 weeks ago after the Baltimore game and Chargers haven't looked back since. Final Score: San Diego 34 Buffalo 17

Dallas ?3. Playing against Eli Manning. If it wasn?t for the name and money invested in him on any other team this guy would have been benched by now. He looks clueless and confused and is playing with no confidence and now he?s got his crybaby Tightend he?s got to worry about. This is what I call a double reverse play. Playing against a division rival at their home as the favorite. Should be a play on the Giants, right? Not.

Chicago ? 9. The only reason I picked the bears was so my thread title could rhyme and because I like money. Good enough for me.:SIB

I played the Chargers-5.5 .

I really thought they would be lucky to go 2-2 w/o
Merrimen. no one thought they would go 4-0 .
Merrimen is a beast. With his return I think they will win the AFC .

Best of Luck!

Right on, about Eli. Last week they mentioned for qb's with 1000 passes over the last 3 years his qb rating is the worst. Now on top of everything else teams are stacking up the middle, and Eli's response to date: deer in the headlights.

This is a huge week for the G men.....win or pack it in. I'm going to wait and see where the defense is by the weekend, who'll be in uniform. So far, there are other games much more tempting than Dal. NY is the cornered animal, and its/their response is a huge unknown.

Tread lightly with the Chargers this week. Every post I read on them and every opinion is that they will roll huge this week because of the returning players. Do you really want to be on the Publics side of this game? Buffalo plays well at home and the chargers are traveling across country to play in the cold. Its not as cut and dry as you may think. This may be a huge game for the book. Just my two cents. Goodluck

Thanks for the warning but if there is a team I think I can handicap (and many there are not) it's thc Bolts. and I feel getting these players back will make a huge impact = turnovers. Some people have gone as far to warn me that this game will not cover because of the shoe rule, you know, visiting team wears new shoes.

Adding:
Cincinnati -3 They have a 50% chance of winning tonight. I like there chances ;)

well, Ive bet or teased the last 4 SD games, I follow them very closely, have them to win div and afc ... that said, they have lucked out, stormed back, or impossibly covered all of these ... I love the team, respect them, all that ... but im not pushing my luck again ... trailing oakland most of game at home was pretty ridic ... I still think they have a great shot to win it all, but i cant keep asking them to do it with mirrors, the cincy and bronc games prob took some pop outta them for Oak game, but they stunk vs Browns too ...

gl, hope you win, gregg

Past results do not guarantee future performance or lack of. The Raider game was no surprise. Chargers/Raider games are hard to handicap. I believe we'll see a totally different San Diego team this Sunday and although Baltimore's loss yesterday should have no effect on the bolts play I think it will motivate them since they are fighting with Baltimore for better playoff positioning.

Adding:
New England Patriots -13.5 Blow out of the week.

Did you see how it happened though? Pisses me off! Chargers Up by 10 points Bills are driving (probably last drive of the game) Interception Chargers! (Chargers cover is in the Bag, right) While dude is running back with the ball, all he has to do is get down and Chargers will run out the clock, nobody touches him and he fumbles the ball Bills recover. Bill drive right down the field for the TD. Moron cost me the cover:sadwave: Chargers DB's dropped three sure INT's:nooo:

Tough one there. Thats why they play the games I guess. A win is a win though as far as the teams are concerned. Chargers looking tough this season.
