Thinking of adopting this guy...

How are they with other dogs, kids etc? Good protectors? Easily trainable?

Thanks!

HELL
Currently own 2 pure bred german shepards, 3 years old and 11 months. Before this I owned a germand shepard/husky mix that my parents took in when I moved a few about 6 years ago. That was one of the best dogs I ever had, of course I had it from 8 weeks old though. They are clearly a easily trainable dog, loyal, protective, and smart. I am a big fan however of getting a puppy no matter what breed, this way it is trained from the start with your lifestyle. It can be challeging getting an older dog not knowing what type of upbringing they had. Good luck...

I agree 100% JR11!!

Thanks for the response.

This little guy is about 6 months so that should be fine.

Kneifl,

I reported your post to the admin due to gayness.

In the future, please stick to threads you could possibly know something about. IE: Things involving boyfriends, Dallas Cowgirls, Tony Romos ****.

My new dog Cooper will need a chew toy, why dont you send over Kiki and Cocoa or whatever your hampsters names were.

TY

Husky shepard mix

Husky shepard mix

I have a shepard / husky mix and he is a great dog. Great with all people and other dogs. My girlfriend and I rescued him from a shelter in new orleans and have had him for 6 years. They are very loyal dogs. The only down side is the amount of shedding that occurs. But he is worth the hair around the house.

I highly recommend them

Good Luck

Hey if you ever buy a house on a lake, I know they are great swimmers and decent watch dogs. He will let you know if someone comes around! :SIB :thumb: :mj23: :mj23: :box2: :s1:

Shepherds - smart, obedient dogs. Sometimes they can be barkers.

All of the Huskies i've ever come across, also very intelligent, need lots of play time. :mj23: :mj23:

Crate train, be the alpha male, socialize, should be a great dog. Good luck

i have a female shepherd/ husky mix. she is a great dog, protective but very friendly towards friends, children, etc. around children she is like a mother figure. she can be a bitch to other animals that come in her yard, but thats a good thing. good luck, i totally recomend getting him.
