We've covered the trap angle, betting public angle and the V. Young homecoming...
One thing I'd like to say to add is, I saw the Texans GM interviewed, maybe it was the owner? Anyhow he admitted they made a mistake in not taking V Y. #1 .
That being said I would imagine he will give the team a little speech in the locker room in hopes of having his team getting the win to save some face, not to mention the real #1 selection on the D.line will be looking to perhaps have his own great game, couple sacks, knockdowns, just be as diruptive as he can be. If he can
Wha 'cha think ?

I was watching some replays of Vince Young plays.

He was running and passing on all cylinders, with power , skill, and abandon.

Showing leadership tendancy.

apologize, osmologize. return a slap in the face where its rightfully due.

Texans are in for a severe ass whuppin.

The intensity going into the game cannot be stopped. Tenn .... tankity tank tank

I agree 110%.....Texans in for long day, made much worse by the crowd cheering Vince.

Not only did Young star at Texas, but he was all state leading a Houston city H.S. team.

Imagine you are a Texan defender playing at home......and the opposing qb is cheered louder than your own.

Bad situation for Hou.

If they opt this off season that Carr has to go, this mistake will haunt this team for years to come, until they find a QB of VY's equal, and that might be quite a while.

How in the world do they let him go? I wonder if it had anything to do with the awful Wonderlic test score he was rumored to have? That or just $$$$
Of course their claim was we had other more basic needs.

They not only let Vince go, they let Bush go.
Either one would have been a home run. They
are double f$ck ups. :mj07:

You obviously do not subscribe to the Merrill Hoge way of thinking.:mj07:
Hoge's rants against VY are becoming comical. Like last week saying the Titans have been hiding VY and they have won their last two over NYG and Indi in spite of VY not because of him.

Hoge may seriously need to go back for another brain scan.

I am going tomorrow and it may well be the strangest atmosphere ever for an NFL game ever. My guess is that Vince has never wanted a game as badly as this one...and usually he is pretty damn good when he is motivated.

I expect that the Texans for the first time since their very first game against Dallas will actually try and have some heart. I just dont see Vince being denied.

As for why they didnt take him, the test and all that other bs was totally irrelevant. McNair and Casserley think of David Carr as their long lost son. When coaches interviewed for the job (like Kubiak) they knew that to say anything other than "Carr is my guy" was suicide. Bush isnt a back that fits Kubiak's Denver system, next thing you know they draft an overrated combine stud.

Very clear Carr is gone after this year. They wont draft high enough to take Quinn. The franchise is screwed for years to come.

The media is doing it all it can to "shame" fans into not cheering for Vince. McNair sent a letter to suite owners asking them not to invite Titans/Vince fans to the suites.

And folks foreget, the Titans are the former Oilers - the owner is consiidered the antichrist. That is how ad the City is over these clowns that make Bill Bidwell look like the greatest owner im football history.

So what happens in situations like this? The unexpected of course. That piece of shit Carr will probably throw for 300 yards and win. Wait a minute....that just aint happening.

Stop it guys just stop it. Vince Young, Johhny Unitas, or Joe Montana not one of these quarterbacks would be able to quarterback this sorry team with this awful offensive line. No one. If Young gets sacked like he should have been there is no comeback in NYork. Guys are getting a little ahead of themselves. I heard this same shit with Mc Nab, Culpepper and even Joey Harrington. It happens every year. I like YOung and see some potential but you guys are to much. Nobody, i repeat nobody would be any good behing Houstons awful offensive line.
I have said this a million times on this site. Only a rare breed of quarterback can succeed with an awful defense and an awful offense. Carr has been put in an awful situation. Nobody could succeed in this spot unless they had a front office that could draft. Kinda like Dallas with Jimmy when they drafted Aikman but then drafted players to build around him. Without those players Aikman would have never suceeded.
