neither do these winning % stats

sec = .534
big-10 = .504
pac-10 = .522
big-12 = .481
acc = .537
big east = .441

wow, you people are right, the sec clearly dominates in college football and always has.

The big 12 hasnt existed long enough for those numbers so that is pretty skewed right off the bat.

As in most of these conference discussions, this is so misleading that it is irrelevant. Matchups and incentive to play are the important bowl factors, not conference affiliation. And the bowl allignments/tie-ins are such to mislead it even more.

And I personally care a smidge more about ATS as well....I think this is a gambling board isnt it?

These are the combined W-L records of the teams currently comprising the 6 BCS conferences.

This is the gambling forum Sun, so start cranking out those losers.

I remember your lock last year was Texas Tech over Alabama right? Nice call.

I really think the only reason Auburn beat LSU this year is because you took LSU. Thanks again.

Your hypocrisy knows no boundaries. You start a thread about Mike Leach leaving (not true by the way), and another one about LSU fans getting their money back from tickets for the Rose Bowl.

Now what part of those threads had to do with gambling, because I missed it.

Yea it is one of those unfortunate things...when someone actually uses this board to post plays sometimes thy lose. I am pretty sure I am not alone in that.

Of course it was hard todetermine if that is an issue for you. To find an actual posted play I had to go back to October 6, where you were apparently touting it as your 20 unit biggest play ever. LSU over Florida. Only missed that by about 2 touchdowns. Too bad for us you arent still cranking out losers like that one.

As for hypocrisy all I meant was I care what the ats record is, not w-l SU. Somehow you took that personally. Now I understand why that is an issue for you.

more teams in your conf, some recently added
more auto bids for sec teams
more bowl games created in the south for sec teams

winning % is what really shows how strong you are, and you're #2...barely ahead of the panzies from the pac-10 and behind the acc.....but.....you are a traditional power and the best conf ever, hand down, beacuse.....well.... you all say so.

All I hear are excuses. More better teams, more bowl bids. More winners in those bowl games.

That's sad that you actually took the time to look up my old plays, but even with that loss my posted record was a winner.

6-5 +4 units

If you look back far enough, you will see that I also had a winning record in NBA last year as well.

What's your excuse?

dont you get it....there is no debate.....the sec is CLEARLY the most dominant conf now (.500 record the last 5 years in bowl games) and forever (barely second in win % in the history of bowl games)

:142smilie

if those stats dont make you a believer then you're just a moron.

It is clear that the Pac-10/Big 10 has an advantage when it comes to educated fans! ;)

Anyone with a brain can see how SEC teams rack up easy wins the first 4 weeks of the season, win by 30+ pts, "media" starts proclaiming all these SEC teams to be great. Then SEC conf. play starts and all these SEC teams are ranked high in the top 25. Wins/losses get you ranked in the top 25. This gives the false assumption that the SEC is great. :nono:

Why does the SEC have a less than .500 record against the other BCS conferences this decade? I thought the SEC is so superior? The best conf. in the country? How the heck can the SEC have a less than .500 record against other BCS conferences? WOW! I am shocked. :scared I have been told repeatedly that the SEC is the best conf. in the country. I guess SEC fans are not too bright. Then again, SEC fans do sell out their stadiums to watch their team beat a 1aa opponent by 50pts so they can pound their chests. :142smilie Maybe they are not the brightest bunch of fans.

Here is a list of OOC BCS teams for this season vs SEC.

SEC results

Michigan-L
Cal-W
Louisville-L
WV-L
WSU-W
AZ-W
Clemson-W
FSU-W
USC-L
Missouri-L
Ga Tech-W
Wake Forest-L

That is a 50% win record! :(
NO WAY! THIS IS THE SEC! SEC IS SO SUPERIOR! SEC #1! Right?

At the end of the day, the SEC OOC schedules are a disgrace and taint any real analysis. Of course, when teams like Arkansas or Auburn schedule teams like USC, they lose on the road and at home, so continuing to schedule Mt. Mary's Sisters of the Poor State University College makes sense. :mj07:

CASE CLOSED! :sadwave:

The big 10 is not good. The pac-10 is worse. The big east is not worth mentioning. And the big 12 and the acc are just cheap imitations of the greatest football conference the world has ever known.

The SEC.

YEP! Those were the only 2 losses for USC all season. 2 conf. road losses by a combined 6pts. Only 2 losses in what was clearly a rebuilding season on both sides of the ball AND an injury plagued season. I guess in a down year USC comes up 1 game short of the BCS NC game and settles for the BCS ROSE BOWL and win their 5th consective conf. championship. I'll take it!

10 wins despite playing the #2 rated SOS?

Only 1 senior starter on D and 2 senior starters on O?

Only 1 player leaving early for the NFL?

WOW! How good is USC going to be next year!

Laugh all you want about USC going 10-2 and competing for a BCS NC in a rebuilding year. USC seems to always get the last laugh! :toast:

Oh BTW, your post was :topic: but you gave me the opportunity to boast about USC in my reply! :yup

Good day Kramer!

Dice...if you don't like facts, then don't open the threads.

Find something else to do with your time.

I have everyone else on here on my ignore list.(gjn23, Scott$USC), but I'm sure they had some wonderful comebacks.

Better teams, more bowl invites, more bowl wins.

It's not even close.

I guess the lesson learned is USC needs a little less of UCLA and Ore St and a little more of Arkansas and Auburn. :mj07:
