Week 17 - just write a check to your bookie and save yourself the aggravation

week 17 historically has been way too unpredictable to bet in my opinion. Plus the spreads are always way out of wack because some teams need to win and some teams are warming up the bus before the game starts.
For example, I like the Redskins +1, but if I put down 1,000 on them, I probably care more about the game than they do.

i don't see how you could say you care more than the 'skins. Home teams playing for nothing usually do well in week 17 b/c they are at home. It is the road teams that stink it up. Skins would like nothing more than to beat their arch rivals & give their fans something to cheer a/b. The giants are a mess & losing a "must win" game would be the perfect end to their season.
