daughters 16 birthday, any party ideas ?

My daughter is turning 16 next month and wanted to throw her a surprise party.Can anyone share any good ideas for a party? Only problem is I live in a small town.:shrug:

just messing, uhmmm, i'd say just have a bunch of her friends over and maybe get a decent local band or something... get a nice music setup and alot of food and such, make it a fun atmosphere and everyone should have fun.

Brian.... best advice i could give you is don't do it!!! 16 yr old girls (which i'm sure you've noticed..LOL) are moody and independant creatures ;)

I'd give her a budget, and tell her you are giving her a birthday party for her birthday. This way, she can invite the people she wants, leave out the people she wants, and be in control of all the planning.

This is also good for her if she hasn't mastered budgeting money very well yet.

just set the ground rules and let your daughter take it from there. (or of course get her a car) :D
