I like UGA to get it done tomorrow night. Falling behind big early to WV last year has kept these guys motivated. Hokie OL gives up plenty of sacks. UGA DL is best VT has faced and will cause major problems for Glennon. VT played a very soft schedule, and I feel their D is overrated. Look for UGA to run successfully. Stafford played significantly better last 2 games. UGA OL protects the QB very well.

UGA by 2+ scores.

Cie Grant while I agree with most of what you say I have to tell you that their offensive line has been their biggest weakness this year. In between their O-line(many injuries) and dropped passes they have struggled on offense at times. Staffords numbers are not very good but as you say he started to play better toward the end of the year. The truth is he was not as bad as his numbers indicated because of before mentioned dropped passes and lack of protection. The biggest wildcard in this game to me is Mike Bobo is the new Offensive Cordinator and will have full control of play calling. This will be the first time Richt has not had control of the plays since becoming OC @ fsu. In my opinion this should be great for Stafford and UGA alike since Bobo has been the QB coach and is on the same page with Stafford. Unlike most I do not see real low scoring game. As a matter of fact I think this will be Staffords coming out party to the rest of the nation. Is he going to make freshman mistakes, of course he is VT D is solid. If (and this is a big if) the line can give a little protection and the wr's can make the routine catches then georgia wins. Give me Georgia 24-20 GL

PS look for Quinten Moses to have a big game in his last showcase before leaving for the NFL. He needs it after the year he has had!!!

UGA, I agree w/ most of what you wrote. As for the pass protection thst I mentioned, UGA is ranked 9th in the NCAA in sacks allowed with 14. VT is in the lower half of the rankings with nearly double the sacks allowed.

I must have misread an article a/b the play-calling situation. Until reading your post, I was under the impression Richt gave up play calling prior to the GT game. I viewed this as a slight negative since the UGA O struggled mightily vs GT, and like you, i would expect new blood calling plays to provide a shot in the arm to this offense.

Thanks for your input. I look forward to your opinions going forward.

No you are right he did call the plays against GT but that was really more of a spur of the moment thing. Though richt had been thinking of giving up the duties for quite some time it was not until right before the GT game that he told bobo he wanted him to call the plays and see how it went. Richt said he pretty much new his playcalling days were over. It was then made official a few days after the Game that he would be the New OC. So you are right it just was not official yet.

Cie glad we're on the same page - been eyeing this one for a while myself

Want to put way more $$ than either of us can afford on the game and go get drunk and watch it? Also, don't know if you're interested, but I'm headed out to the FG in a bit
