Ok, I'll bite. But I'll only sink money into one of these.

Which one should I go with and why?

Thanks.

i would go ps3. I personally own the PS2, but the layout is better (controller). If you want to play games onlinle Playstation offers them for free where xbox requires a subscription. I love madden online play. I would go into eb games or gamestop and play a little bit on the same game (madden, unreal tournament) on both systems. You will definitely prefer one.

ps3 60 gig, especially if you're into movies in HD. the ps3 comes with Blue Ray, you have to buy it extra for the xbox.

After everything is said and done it looks like the prices are close.

The PS3 is more expensive out of the box but it includes more.

It includes wireless which Xbox costs about 100 bucks. Also the Xbox online costs 50 a year while I thought Sony's was free.

I know Xbox has more games now but the PS3 will catch up in time.

Also, the PS3 is a Blueray player as well. The HD DVD player for the 360 is at least another 100 bucks.

I guess my real question is what looks better?

If the graphics are the same then Id have to think that the PS3 is the better choice.

I currently have a Xbox and never got a PS2.

Gamespot did a graphics comparison of the two systems and gave the edge to the 360, but they did say the developers may not be taking full advantage of the PS3 abilities yet.

To me the 360 will be worth it just for Gears of War and Halo 3 alone.

I got the PS3 for christmas and it's great. With espn being associated with all the EA games, I was tooling around the tiger woods '07 menu when all of a sudden the sportscenter update they have on the radio was played, and it was the one they just played on the radio. that was pretty neat. The graphics are very good on the PS3.

The gamespot comparision gave the edge to the 360, but I bet the average joe wouldn't be able to tell much difference.

I still love my PS2 and will get a PS3 when prices come down a bit and more games are available. I'm buying games for PS2 @ 10-20 bucks each so I'll stick with it probably 'till after summer. I only buy my games used. I refuse to pay $60-$70 for a new game just so Alex Ovechkin or Tiger Woods can make money for being the cover-boy! :mj07:

PS3 IS WHAT YOU WANT!!

where are you getting yor ps3.still not available in my area.

Best Buy and EB games have it in stock.

I just found out also that the PS3 does not ship with HDMI or Component cables. So to play the games in HD I need to buy one of those.

Of course now no one has the component cable I need. Now that the systems are here we get to wait for some stupid cable.

I think it's time to just hook the Intellivision up again...
