Just heard that Pete Carroll did not return from vacationing in Costa Rica when he heard the tragic news of his place kicker. :shrug:

I was a coach for eight years and I can tell you that if something like that happened to one of my players, I would be on the first plane from whereever I was to be with the team and the family.

He was too busy meeting with Miami Dolphins owner Wayne Hiezenga. His jet reportedly made a stop at Costa Rica before heading back to Miami.

it is sad about him falling over a cliff. how does that happen.

That area is extremley dangerous there is no lighting and anyone can get out around the cliff area. My wifes brother also fell form those very cliffs, many others have fallen also. They should find a way to keep people out.
