Best bet: California -2 over Washington State

Perfect situation with WSU being ranked for the first time in years and coming off the big home win vs. Arizona.

Oregon State +23 over Arizona BIG

I'm a UofA alum and one of their biggest fans. So why am I going against them in this situation? Here's why:

1. Arizona has no bench this year. . . backdoor cover is a very good possibility even if the starters get up by 30.

2. The bench will get a lot of play. Why? Because Lute will not run up the score. Why? Because OSU's head coach used to be Lute's assistant. Lute never runs up the score but will especially make sure to keep the loss reasonable against his longtime assistant. No doubt in my mind.

Here's a game in the near future to take Arizona: over North Carolina at home. They will have ASU early in the week then the big one against N.C. starters should get enough rest against ASU to play hard against the Heels. Arizona will be the favorite in that one but the Heels' #1 ranking will keep the line reasonable.

Anyways, one final play: Nevada -8.5 over San Jose State Small play

This might be a sucker line but I'll give it a try for a small amount. SJS has won just a single game this year. Nevada has more than a great chance to walk out with a win and walk all over this team. I will take the risk but small.

Line is like that because fazekas will probably not play after that bad ankle sprain. So i do not think it is a trap just adjusted because of an injury. I still like the play because other around know they will have to step it up. No way can I see them losing but can they cover and what kind of team are they without fazekas?

I'm surprised about how many on here are taking Arizona and laying 23 points. Do they realize my Cats do not have a bench this year? AZ was up by 30 over NAU at one time and let them climb back in. Its happened more than once this year because the bench is horrible.

Oh well, best of luck :scared

the bench is terrible but i think they may have found their equal in the beavers tonight.

i wouldnt lay 23 with arizona but i sure the hell wouldnt take the 23 with the beavers and hope that you can get a backdoor....

you might as well go down to the local gym and bet on a pick-up game as the guys likely deciding the cover in this game in the last 3 mins will be super scrubs

Well I was concerned OSU wouldn't score much in the second half which is the reason for the second half under but it has proven to not be a problem.

On to the system play

It got up to 21 but still never a major issue. . . if the game was out of hand, the reserves would have come in and OSU would have still covered. Pretty simple and easy cover if you know this team

Well barring a nice comeback, Cal is going to let us down tonight. If you play these kind of situational plays in the future consistently, you will win more than you lose. For those who don't know, here it is:

Play an unranked home favorite over a ranked road dog. Should have plenty of them come up before the madness begins

Yeah, I was pissed to see that knowing that many were on Stanford which I thought was the right side even though I didn't play it
