theyve handled pats last 2 times with relative ease on road ... they are playing the best defense in the nfl the last 2 weeks :scared, they havent lost at home, they dont have the big pressure or expectations and evidently learned from that ...

really like colts a lot ... pats beating sd was about as fortunate a win as Ive seen in a long time and I have Pats big to win Super Bowl from last summer ... however, that said Im hedging and awful lot of it back on colts and do think they win +10

I agree. I bet quite a bit on the Pats to win SB at 9-1 odds before playoffs now I am buying some of it back on Indy to win SB at 8-5. Of course if the NFC wins the superbowl I lose big, but I don't think that will happen.

I dunno. I am sticking with Pats 10 -1 to win Super Bowl and 4 to 1 to win AFC. Pats played big when it counted and SD did not. In any case it should be a great game.

So Cal
I'm convinced this is Peyton's year.

IMO the NFL would love to have INDY vs N.O .
Maybe the Refs make it happen on sunday.

so ...

so ...

say colts win by 7+ and Bears/aints close either way ...

colts -8 vs bears
colts -6.5 aints

if colts win +14 Id increase both by 1 to 2 pts; gotta think pub would go with blowout if bears get there off a colt big win???

what do you guys think?

id be very surprised if either afc team were favored by more than 4.5 against either opponent. san diego, imo, was the team that would have been a solid TD chalk over the nfc. but not new england or indy. 4.5 at most no matter who wins these conference champ games

It was probably weird for Colts watching that SD/NE game.

Overall I'm sure they wanted Pats, but its like Lex Luthor hoping he's matched up against Superman.

I knew NFL wanted Pats/Colts but I also knew SD was significantly better. I didn't see anything fishy in the game and was amazed that NFL got what it wanted.

I see it unfolding that Manning has to beat his old nemesis to get to the big game. They have home field advantage.
I do think Colts win it all at this point. I also believe SD would have destroyed them.

that picture is great, it cracks me up every time I see it!

by the way Agent, how strong do you feel about the Colts and this generous line?

I cannot cap this game without tremendous bias. I do however like the under.

I like the biasness, if thats how you say it. What I'm really wanted to know is how you felt last year after the horrible loss to the Steelers, how you feel about the D not showing up all year and now are stopping anyone that tries to run, and do you think Dungy is going to let Manning come out of the gate firing, like I think he will?

I like to get opinions like this because you may have a little different insite or way of looking at this game as opposed to just looking at is as a capper

my main bet is colts 5/1 to win super bowl future, but i still think they cover the line ... Its somewhat amusing no one mentions/factors that most of Bears impressive stats were garnered from 10/8 backward, i.e. 4 single digit defensive efforts in first five games, and Grossman's QB rating after that point is prob 60 or so ...

Now factor in the fact the Colts run def. is giving up app 75 yds a game in post season, gave pats 14 pts on non offensive snaps, that Colts won at Ravens (many were advancing ravens to SB) while Bears had 2 home games (finale vs 0-9 dome teams) and couldve easily lost to average Seahawks, well for me anyway, I dont see how Colts can be that square of a pick ... Ive seen every super bowl played, and Jets/Chiefs/Pats/Broncs won as DD dogs, so if Bears win I wont be shocked, but Colts seem to have more MO and edges/weapons... Bears opps for year are 30 games under .500, Colts opps +14 games

posted a 27-17 final somewhere else, but wanted to pull this thread up to aggravate the naysayers, hehe ... for all us "squares" who bet the vastly superior team for all the right reasons, not to gloat, b/c it sounds like it, but I honestly didnt understand all the bear hoopla, colts shoulda won much worse as everyone knows and mismatching PM and Grossman was too big an edge to dismiss ... congrats to all the believers and $$$ winners ... very happy for dungy and peyton, and all the guys on this site that bashed him for years it must hurt ...
