Received this email this morning and already requested a card:

The online gaming industry is constantly evolving. Here at BetJamaica we look at each of these changes as an opportunity to make your wagering experience with us a positive one, Often changes do result in things getting better. Be assured that we value you as our client and strive to deliver the widest range of options and the very best in customer service.

You may be aware that several popular payment processors have recently elected to discontinue servicing the US market. It was disappointing to see their departure however we are encouraged to still see many new and existing processors remain.

A review of our current banking options demonstrates that Western Union, Money Gram, MyATM, SolidPay, bank wires, FedEx and credit cards deposits remain strong. We are also excited to offer our clients a fantastic new transfer method which is fast, convenient and incredibly low cost.

A new Transfer Card is now available to current clients. The Transfer Card allows you to easily make deposits and withdrawals for the low price of 50 cents to and from BetJamaica. All transactions are completed in less than 30 minutes.

Click Here to request your Transfer Card today and enjoy its many benefits.

I am proud of the reputation we've established as the best customer service organization in the industry. If you ever have a question or a concern I invite you to personally call me or any of our representatives.

Best regards,
Scotty Johnson

do you know how card works judge? Or anyone for that matter? I went to signup to use it thinking its a neteller like acct or something like a fastpay option, but when i got the form to sign up it said fast delivery 2-3days for 10 bucks or reg delivery 7-10 days for 5bucks. This makes me think they are sending me a credit card in the mail or something. Anyway I was going to email bj customer service and find out specs but wondering if anyone here has beaten me to the punch.

BJ is a great plain vanilla book, they pay you on time, their service can't be beat, they post decent lines and decent props. But they dont have the variety that 5dimes, greek, or pinny had. That is why I like to have an exoctic acct and bj. For betting pro sides I can't think of a better book, but if you like college fball or especially bball, or heavy ml or props, they just dont have the variety there.

scan and email to banking@betjm.com
(Please note valid ID required prior to withdrawl)"

Not sure if I'm ready for that?:sadwave:

I have cashed out of at least 2 different books that required valid picture ID. I know with Mansion, since I deposited with a CC, they required a fax of the front/back of the CC before they deposited money back on to it

I had never done this, but this is how my buddy would fund his party poker account... I assume this card is something like it

This is what he said he did

partypoker had a link to go a site and you buy a phone card from them. They charge your CC for the amount you want on the phone card. Once you have the number from the phone card, you enter that in the party poker page and it credits you account the price of the card.

He did it like this because he had a brother in the military, so when it showed on the CC, the wife thought he was just buying phone cards for his brother. I assume Betjm and other sites will do something similiar to this

I believe that this card is actually a debit card for something along the lines of an offshore bank account. Not positive but I think that is how this works. I am trying to get more info now but if this is true, of course you would have to furnish identification to open an account.

Thanks Judge.
It seems like some had already done this, and I'm not sure if I like this idea. Maybe I'm just too careful, but with all the identity theft horror stories, I just dont see how this could be a prudent practice.

Sounds like you willingly gave them yours?

Please keep me informed how this works out.....

Back around 2003 I sent my DL to two different books for withdrawls via fax. One was Canbet, can't remember the other. I never had a problem.

From BJ:

Thanks for the inquiry. We need a valid ID to process the card, it does not have to be a driver's license, it can be a State ID or Passport your SSN is not needed. The card will be able to do both deposit and withdrawal, however so far only the withdrawal has been program. When the deposit method as been activated we are working on having credit cards Western Union and ACh/EFT to fund the card.

The max withdrawal per day from the book to the card is $5000 with and the max. with from an ATM is $2500. There is a $.50 fee for withdrawals and the monthly fee will be taken care by BetJm as long as you are an active player.

We will keep our customer informed.
