Cuse -5 over Johnnies **** strong play
Much has been written on these guys.both teams going into different directions.Johnnies will have matchup problems today.After beating depaul at home they have lost 4 or 5 in a row.Johnnies cannot rebound. They have one player inside and thats Hamilton at 6'10. Spears comes off the bench and spells him.Patterson got benched who was there 2nd leading scorer. he had some big games vs Johnnies cupcake preseason teams.But he's struggling vs the big boys.Hamilton is tough but not a scorer and will get in foul trouble.Lawrence and Hill are decent gds.Mason is like day and nite.This team struggles to score. They play good defense but today vs Cuses 2-3 zone they will have problems on offense.
Cuse playing at Madison square is like a home game. They are 5-1 in last 6 there.Cuse players get really "up ' playing in NYC.Plus there will be more orange in the stands today then red.So throw the home court advantage out. Boes team has won 4 or 5 in a row.Nichols has been unreal,2nd in the conf in scoring,his rebounding,etc.Watkins in the middle will be tough for Johnnies to matchup with. although he's not a great offensive threat in his last apperance in the garden vs Johnnies he had 11 pts,14 bds and 4 Blocked shots. In his last 5 BE games he has 20 blocks.Roberts inside also is tiough in the paint. Devon and the fds are solid. Harris the super frosh has slowed down a bit. But this kid has so much raw talent...could have his breakout game today.
Only problem Cuse might have today is looking ahead to Louisvile and ND this week.Think Johnies stay with Cuse for awhile but inside game will dominate.
Siena +2 over Manhattan **
again 2 teams going into different directions. Siena has the better talent and playing bad. Jaspers are sitting in 1st place in MAAC.Austin jaspers leading scorer problay won't play today..flu... Can't see them stopping the saints w/o him.Saints have lost 3 or 4 and jaspers won 5 of last 6 but 5 in a row in MAAC. But they have played the weaker teams..never the less Rohrssen is doing a magic act coaching. He's got 4 freshman playing mucho minuts and there winning. Think today saints wake up on the road..
Loy Md +1.5 over Rider *
Loy has the offense to win on the road. Hate going against Rider in Bronco's gym. Small play. Rider wins by 1.
