Although I benefit in this case... I have to agree... especially on the face guarding issue...if there is no contact... what is the real foul on face guarding... why do you have to be facing the other way?:nono:

the force out rule is absurd, as is face guarding withouy contact. Let defenses make a play.

Sun you just had a bet on the NE that is why you say this. Sorry but i had to say that because that is the argument most guys always have around here.
I believe you are right. I would hate to be a defensive back. They can't do shit. How the hell you supposed to chase a receiver and then turn around at the same time.

I had the Colts not that it matters. There was a bad call on each team...Indy got the benefit of the face guard and NE the force out.So even claiming I had a side compared to that post is absurd.

Face guarding is a rule to make the corners play the ball. Just like if you make a play for the ball but make contact, sometimes PI isnt called. You could never complete a pass if everyone face-guarded.

There would be plenty of passes completed - Its a big advantage to know where you are going and where the ball is going to be going...DB's are punished enough. A lot of DB's face guard regardless and it isn't even called if they dont touch the ball.

Its a retarded rule, along with the "can't advance a muffed punt."

The reason it isnt called is because the DB's glance back and play the ball. Thats all it takes.
It's an easy bail out for a DB if they are beat deep. And we all know the NFL loves points scored!

woooo man your the first guy i ever heard say this besides me. The muff punt is a gambling rule. You see when shitty teams have the game covered near the end getting lets say 13 they are the ones who always mfff punts. This way the good team can get it on lets say the five and down it three times to run out the clock. this play is a fumble and i have saw this play come into a few games where the books would have lost a ton of money.
