I guess i'll start a thread on this since you've ignored any posts on the subject in other threads. For years.

Would you consider Reagan immediately leaving Lebanon after the Iranian arm of 'hezbollah' killed 244 Marines, 'cutting and running?'

Yes? No?

What do you think about Reagan doing business with Iran, selling arms to them, shortly after they blew up our Marines?

Good?

Bad?

N/A?

Thanks, and I won't hold my breath.

Honestly it makes you wonder why debate a guy like this. He starts a thread and ten guys jump in and disprove his assertions yet he rarely answers a question like this. Then he sleeps like a baby thinking "i got them again". Its like this neocon war. Unwinnable.:com:

Mossad knew about the barracks bombing before it happened. Didn't bother telling us. That's according to Victor Ostrovsky, who belonged to the Mossad.

I can remember my companies involvement in the area at that time. Syria was building a white house and capitol building complex trying to match some of our buildings on a hill over looking Damascus. This huge complex need air conditioning. Sale for my company of just over 2 million. A very big sale at that time. However that sale could not go on through with out State Dept clearance. We could not sell to Syria at that time. Money talks clearance was given. Even tho we new Syria played a part in those deaths. We put in a bid went high because we thought we would never get it. Many in my company protested and a two lost jobs. And one resigned. Funny how the high ups can look the other way when it's about money and oil. When six of there engineers and main adviser came to our plant to witness the testing. We never put on there welcome board where they were from. And for there safety when we took them out to dinner. We told them straight up we would if asked say they were from Egypt.

Wayne just called the hotline and read me his response:

Reagan did not leave Lebanon because of the Hezbollah. That has never been proven and the liberal media has been feeding the public that line of crap to fit their own liberal agenda.

Reagan never authorized any business deals with Iran.

Definately-- YES
However I believe cut and running from situation is much diff than from war however would put it in same catagory as Clintons multiple look the other way.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

What do you think about Reagan doing business with Iran, selling arms to them, shortly after they blew up our Marines?

Lot more to that story than meets the eye--would depend on who you believe--I know which one I want to believe but have to consider they have motive for action--so will say I'm on the fence on that one.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

"Thanks, and I won't hold my breath."

Now I certainly don't think thats a fair statement Matt
--I might miss a question in thread but try to give every effort to answer questions from yourself-Chad-Gregg and others that I feel have rational judgement and objections--there some I ignore if I feel it likes debating with a rock but other than that--

I do not believe Clinton (as much as I think he was slow to react) was involved in this one. I would say Somalia and this would be about the same. Both he and Reagan cut and ran.

When you have combat troops on ground to accomplish mission and retreat it is totally diff animal than pulling embassy guards/civillians out of unfriendly environment--but would put his action in same boat as Bill's(save attack on home soil) in the fact he did nothing after the fact.

Somehow Wayne worked "Clinton" into his response to a question about Reagan in the 1980's. Is anyone surprised.

Eddie

:142smilie This could be a game show. Contestants have to identify any American problem in history and manage to pin it on Clinton.

It's great what you can get online these days. I googled "Hermann Goering High School 1971 Bowling Green, Kentucky" and I found some links to Waynes high school exam answers. Here's a sample"

24) What sank the Titanic?

A. an iceberg
B. a torpedo
C. British ships
D. I don't know, but Bill Clinton was involved.

Wayne, answered "A. an iceberg". However, his teacher marked it a wrong answer and indicated the correct answer was "D. I don't know, but Bill Clinton was involved".

From that point on Wayne learned that Clinton was the correct answer.

I find the example relevent--

Edward I noticed your on board mornings and afternoons--things a little slow at Dewey, Cheetam and Howe firm --or can't the callers get past your "did they have insurance" screener.

Bad timing with all that Christmas credit card debt hitting ;)
