I don't think it is partisan as much as it is ideology. The war in Iraq isn't the kind of thing people don't have an opinion about. I am liberal but I don't consider myself a Democrat. Never voted for Clinton and didn't vote for Gore.

personally,i trace this back to the clinton impeachment.....and bush "stealing" the election from gore....

and you have to figure that the dems were basically in power for most of the 20th century....so,the shift in power was an enormous shock to their system.....

i do blame republicans for the clinton impeachment debacle....i thought it was ridiculous.....a "blowjob".....but it wasn`t even the blowjob...it was the fact that clinton was forced to testify about a blowjob.....

a blowjob?....seriously.....i can understand why dems were hysterical.....what a waste of time.resources etc.........

what a ridiculous distraction from the business of running the country....very much like the plame b.s....nobody gets prosecuted for outting a covert c.i.a. agent...because there was no covert c.i.a. agent....and this moron prosecutor couldn`t nail cheney or rove....

i guess he figured,i wasted all this time..and all these resources....i`d better indict somebody for something.....

i think all the above turned into a snowball rolling downhill and led to all this ridiculous, irrational bush hatred.....

i can understand the dems going dooseypots over the clinton thing....i felt the same way.....it was an enormous mistake by republicans....what did it accomplish?....

the bush/gore election was razor thin...so,hard feelings were inevitable....

a confluence of happenstance that has led to a pathetic polarization of america....americans....

we`re weakened because of it....and we`d better wake up soon.....

i know what everybody`s thinking.....america is forever....

but,we have middleastern religious zealots trying to kill us..procuring weapons of mass destruction.....the chinese on our heels economically and militarily.......the russians falling back into dictatorship under kgb guy putin..........some south american country`s looking to undermine us....

europe being influenced and potentially being overrun by islam.......

i`m sure they didn`t think the roman empire could fall either...

divided we fall......we`d better wake up....

very much like the plame b.s....

I really have no opinion on the Plame thing, but come on... "very much like" it? One situation was a witch hunt that completely shackled the President, the other is about a guy that happened to work for the president. Hell, Slick Cheney didn't even testify.

Smurph--Judge is one wearing Sweat Shirt paid with my $$-- the facts would say I am not tricky enough :)

--Jabbers--as I said I think this is far from done deal--and if it turns out to be--as I previously said--I will reserve how good it was on what we have to provide. I do not believe in rewarding anyone for being good and said couple years ago if GW followed Bill's and Madeline Notsobrights agenda I'd climb on him with both feet.

The whole issue on NK was unilateral and bilateral negotiations.

GW has stuck to his guns and not fell into trap last admin did despite the continuing carping of the Dems to go one on one.

---and why were Dems so extremely wrong on this as they had been previously??

One on one we make all the consessions and who else cares if NK suckers us.

This way concessions are divided and NK has to be accountable to all--a no brainer the Dems could obviously not see despite biting same apple once.

No secret NK has been holding out with hopes of getting into unilateral --but Kim shit in his nest when he detonated bomb--and everyone agreed on sanctions that have had huge effect--and he evidently became aware he could not wait to see what happens in 08.

the woman was an analyst...not a covert cia "agent"......her being cia was known by many...it was no secret....

they were very similar "witchhunts".....and neither supposed precipitating "offense" amounted to a hill of beans....

the whole thing came down to what i outlined in my thread....irrational political partisanship....

SHE sent her bush-hating husband to niger......not to investigate...but to undermine the administration...it was political....

joe wilson,an anti-war activist, said cheney sent him...and that was an outright lie...

it was found that saddam did attempt to procure uranium from niger...but,given the embargo`s,i guess they didn`t think they could pull off what other nation`s had pulled off under the bogus "oil for food" debacle.......

iraq sent trade delegations to niger..including their senior public envoy for nuclear matters, wissam al-zahawie.....what else were they trying to procure?..... goat cheese?....

niger`s one of the poorest countries in the world.....the next highest export back in 1991 was "livestock"....lol

and don`t forget, saddam had already procurred uranium ore from niger back in 1980 for the osirak reactor that the israeli`s bombed out of existence....

this is off topic, but it`s the perfect example of how we`re politically cannibalizing ourselves.....
