The wife turns 30 in May and I was thinking of taking her to Vegas for her birthday. We've been to Vegas 4 or 5 times and always stayed at "cheap" places. This time I would like to get a nice room/suite...where would you recommend?

I've been to Vegas at least 15 times and Mandalay Bay is the nicest place I have ever stayed....anywhere. The rooms are incredible and the pool area should be a pretty big hit with her (beach sand around the wave pool and the lazy river is awesome).

Ray mentioned GreenValley Ranch, and it's the first time I have ever heard anyone mention it. My parents live in Vegas and this is where they hang out when they gamble. If you are comfortable staying off the strip, this place is really sweet. A lot more laid back, a lot less traffic, and a great sportsbook.

Have fun. If you get a chance, hit the Wynn Buffet....$35 per person....but it is as good as it gets. Took my parents there during my MadJack SB Trip, and they were really impressed....and they live in Vegas.

Thanks for the tips guys! I will check them out, I will let you know what I come up with. Kinda like the Mandalay Bay idea, the pool would be her style
