St Peters +3 over Iona **
Iona is at 1-15 and Peter at 2-14.These guys rank at the very bottom of the MAAC in stats in offense, margin,assits,turnovers,etc,etc...In over 15 catogories they are almost dead even. But Peter shoots FT's much better and 3 pt shots.Also there defense is much better.Iona has Bruin who is there only really solid player and some new frosh that did get better as the season went on.But Iona can't shoot from the outside,from the FT line,etc.Peter has the No 21,24,26 and 29 top 30 scorers in the MAAC.Not great but Iona has Bruin at 13 and then no one.Sowell and Orta are pretty good.Spann also with Gooding.Not a big play because both teams are pretty bad but how can Iona give pts with a record like that.This game should go down to the last shot and I think Peter makes it..
Loy Md +5.5 over Niagara *
Brown NU's 2nd best player might not play.Won;t know till game time.I'm going under the assumption he's not playing therefore I'll take the greyhounds for a small play. NU has won 6 in a row..offense on fire and there defense has got better even though its still bad.This is a low IQ team but they can score esp with Fisher.Loy has won a few in a row and Tuck there top rebounder played 20 minuts last game.These guys went into OT last time out with Loy outscoring NU 11-10 in OT.Alujevic had only 2 pts in that game and he has really stepped up for the greyhounds.Loy ats record on the rd is amazing..9-0 and NU's at home is just about .500.
Loy has a shot at 1st if marist losses to siena and another 4 or 5 combo's.Who cares.. I see a high scoring game esp if NU's browns plays. Loy's brown is a big time scorer and rebounder.Another game that should go down to the wire..
Rider +4.5 over Canisius **
Both teams are 2-7-1 ats on the road and at home. Ahhh I keep backing these griffs and all they give me is griff.They have some real talent and can score.Wilson,herring,harris can play.Turner is a great freshman gd..in a few yrs he could be a top player in the league. But they lose.Lost a tough one to NU in OT,lost to fairfield by 4,beat Marist by 10 and Iona by 7 in OT.Lost to siena by 18,beat peter by 3 and lost to manhattan by 11.
This team if they play like they did vs marist could upset a few teams in the tourney,,but Rider has 6'10 thompson.If he stays out of foul trouble this game should be close.
