Lg Beach State vs Pacific at Pacific on 2/3/07:

Lg Beach St 92 - Pacific 64

In that away game Long Beach State played without second-leading scorer Kejuan Johnson and reserve center Mark Dawson, along with assistant coach Reggie Howard.

It would also seem that with one more win Lg Beach St locks up sole First Place in the Division. Right now they have locked up at least a tie for 1st and this seems to be their easiest remaining game. Seems motivation enough to play hard to win and Cover the short number !!!!:director:

Long Beach St. 92, Pacific 64 Feb. 3, 2007

LONG BEACH, Calif. (AP) -

Sterling Byrd scored 22 points as Long Beach State defeated Pacific 92-64 Saturday.

Tim Island and Nixon led a 16-4 run midway through the first half as Long Beach State built a 34-18 lead. The Tigers rallied late in the half and cut the lead to 40-29 at halftime.

Byrd sparked a 16-1 run over the first four minutes of the second half as the 49ers built a 56-30 lead and were never challenged after that.

The 49ers (15-6, 6-2 in the Big West Conference) won for the 13th time in 15 games. Aaron Nixon scored 16 points and Kevin Houston added 14 as the 49ers improved to 10-0 at home this season.

Anthony Brown's 18 points led Pacific. The Tigers (8-13, 4-4) dropped to 3-7 on the road.

Long Beach State played without second-leading scorer Kejuan Johnson and reserve center Mark Dawson, along with assistant coach Reggie Howard. They missed their second consecutive game due to a suspension imposed by the school pending further investigation by the NCAA of potential recruitment violations.

congrats on Nevada the other night, real good call Ray!:00hour

going to ride G'town myself, only thing that worrys me is the fact that the Cuse beat a pretty good Providence team the other night.

the Pacific line seems a little scetch to me:shrug:
