This news sucks! A prayer has been said for you and your family, HokieFan. You seemed to be a fine man both on and off the Internet. Blessings to your wife and children.
Really sad news about Hokie Fan.Good capper that will be missed but from the sounds of it he was a BETTER PERSON,that will really be missed.Prayers to his family.
That sux... Rest in Peace my friend... so sad for his wife and two little boys... was afraid of this, due to the fact he hadn't posted in over two months...
With all the bickering and fighting that goes on here, it is still a shame to lose a member this way, he was very open about his fight with cancer and I will miss reading his insights... RIP Hoke Fan!

AN apology to all madjackers (inside)

I just wanted to take a second to apologize for some of my rather insensitive posts lately.
First off I love this site and look forward to surfing all the time.
Hokie Fan though has been going through some difficult times lately and the stress has been getting to me.
Maybe some of you know or if you didnt I have cancer. I have been through 35 radiation treatments and 9 months of chemo. The pain from those have been extreme. I have had all my hair and insides burnt of my right side. When I was doing chemo I lost 47 pound (25 in one week) I spent 2 weeks in the hospital and the pain was intense. It was hard on my kids and wife. Because I kept working during this process it really took a toll on my body.
All this and I thought I had licked it....
But I was wrong.... I had my follow up visit today and had been stressing it for weeks (hence my bad mood and rather insensitive posts)
It looks as if the cancer has come back strong (just had a biopsy today) also I have a blood clot in my chest which they found today.
It looks like I have to begin chemo again ..only stronger this time along with a procedure that requires them taking stem cells and marrow from my hip.
Suffice to say I am a little upset
I just wanted anyone who cared to know.
If you didnt care well, thats ok too..
Life is to short...
I apologize to anyone I have offended...
Most of you guys on this site really give me a chuckle ..
I appreciate your humor and picks...

Very Sad Indeed..............as someone who has fought Cancer, I'm familiar with the pain of those treatments. He is most assuredly in a better place! My prayers go out to his family!
