Bet in half ran 3 wide off the pace and was 13 back at the stretch. Good bet - bad choice

On Thursday's OP card,there's a F&M maiden claimer 15-18k for 3/4/5 yo.
4yos are generally stronger this time of year.(All birthdays are Jan 1st) so they pack 5lbs. There's only one 4yo in here and I know nothing of her.
8th #5 Tess's Image 8/1 OUT @6/1 Carlos Gonzalez/ Jorge Lara - good combo here.
Gonzalez is not an especially good traffic rider but in front or close he's hard to stop.
For some reason, there are 8 sprints(5.5-6f) out of 9 events.
There is only on super bummer. These fillies are all high-priced losers. Somebody has to win.
