What's up guys?

Question for everyone. Why would anyone use an offshore right now?

I don't see any pro's, just cons.

I have used offshores for years until all of this shit with them closing and this new banking thing.

How is everyone getting money back and forth?
Just seems like a real pain in the ass to do so.

Then, one would think that we still have to worry about them closing up with no notice and running with our money, right?

What is to say that this can't happen?

I would like to continue using books, like Jamaica, Greek, DSI, but I don't know that it is the right move.

Can anyone convice me as to why I should use one?

What concerns me the most is how inconvenient it is now to send and receive funds.

If I could get this part figured out, then I would just have to worry about them closing up on me, in which case I would not leave that much in my account at one time.

But again, in order to even do this I would need to have a convenient way of sending and receiving funds, which I can't really find right now.

All opinions are appreciated.

Thanks guys.

As far as I am concerned, it takes less time to stop by a Western Union outlet to make an occasional deposit or pick up a payout that it does to meet up with a local guy each week. I am not concerned about books like The Greek, BetJamaica or BetCRIS closing down anytime soon. Even if the DOJ begins an all out war on the offshore books, these shops will be the last to cave in to the pressure.

Judge, you need to get a new guy if you have to meet him. Either the office or the house, but never should you have to drive to meet them. It's just like any other business, a book will take what you give them. I've always said I don't feel comfortable in public so if you want the business you can come by the house. I really could care less if a cop or anyone watches me hand or get handed money but it's a good excuse.

Are you telling me that the government trying to stick it to the offshores isn't going to shut down sports betting permanently?? :mj07: What a waste of time and resources

I use WSEX and had no problem sending money to them via Western Union, but withdrawing has been a real pain in the ass. I even paid the $30 for the overnight Fed Ex and still no check came.

When I spoke with customer service they told me that the system must have missed my withdrawal and they would have to reprocess it and I would need to wait another week for the check.
Searching other forums I've found that they are slow paying most people and some have waited months to recieve some checks.

I'm curious what books allow you to withdraw money through Western Union? I'm thinking of transfering my WSEX funds there for now. I'm not concerned about not getting paid by WSEX. Just don't feel like playing the Slow Pay game with them

Talkin wit cousin Guido down at the social club and he'll pay 40/1 on your horses and Sportsbook odds on your games. He don't do third quarter fart exotics or 10 cent super crapfectas but don't worry, you'll still lose your a$$. No money up front and he'll pay you in cash everyday if you want.
He don't want your social security # or your phone #.
Google up the 1961 Federal Wire Fraud Act.

I don't have to meet anyone as I have not bet with a local for over six years. I'm just saying that while financial transactions with books have certainly become more limited and less convienent, the overall advantages like earlier lines and the ability to shop lines makes doing business offshore a no brainer. Additionally, I am more confident in getting my money from Spiro or Mickey than I am with any local bookie I have ever met.

Is the easiest way to do this whole thing through Western Union?

Do the books let you withdraw via Western Union as well, or is it just to deposit?

Also, how much can you send and receive at one time via Western Union?

Don't they ask for all kinds of personal info as well?

Seems like a real headache.

Is there anything easier, without having to reveal so much info?

We really got screwed with this whole Neteller thing.

Thanks guys.

Found one local that would take golf--for about a month--hard pressed to find any locals that take golf-tennis ect--and offshores are very restrictive on limits--

on another tangent the govs biggest blunder in going after offshores and letting locals operate--
Locals are a haven for problem gamblers--by allowing credit--never could understand that.

Yep. Wherever gambling is legal, you have to put your money up front - making it much more difficult to spend what you don't have. When it becomes illegal and in the hands of bookies, that's when people dig holes deeper than they can get out.

Umm, if you have a computer and any bank debit card then go to Western Union and send money online. It takes 5 minutes tops and couldn't possibly be any easier to do.
