It's teacher vs pupil in San Jose, as Howland's Bruins rumble with Dixon's Panthers at the HP Pavilion
So I have a couple of questions - this game is being played in California, right? and it pits the team that spent a good portion of the season ranked #1 in the polls against an up and down team that got blown out in the BE championship game and just struggled to get out of the 2nd round vs VCU, right? and this UCLA team played in the NC game last year, right?
So it seems easy enough - UCLA easy right?
I don't think so - 1st off, Bruins have no answer for Gray - the guy sometimes plays soft, but i expect a big game from him tonight - 2nd, Bruins don't have a go-to guy in the half-court outside of Afflalo, and this will be a half-court game you can bet - Pitt has other options and can work the inside-out angle a lot better than UCLA - 3rd, I like the pupil in these games a lot more than the teacher - the pupil knows all of the teacher's tricks and it's not always the same the other way around (see Parcells vs Payton this year in the NFL)
Not sure where this line was set at opening but Don Best shows it at 1.5 - looks like some sharps got to it before we could as Pinny shows the opening # at 2.5 and now it sits at 3 and rising - Books through the bait and it sure does look like the fishies are biting - UCLA minus the short # in the state of California?
Sign me up - for the Panthers that is
10 units PITT +4 -125
Really don't think I'll have to pay the extra juice as I see this one going to at least 3.5, but for record keeping purposes that will be the play - I'll wait to see what the line does before I play it though
May have a bit more - thinking about a ML parlay
GL to all - LA Burns
