Been on a tear lately and looking to bring it over to Baseball. I start at the end of spring to get familiar with the teams and I am starting today. Will be back with my early games.

This is the first game I am going to look at as it is on the tube and the first on the board.
Starters:
J.A. Happ will face the Braves at Bright House Networks Field at 1:05 p.m. ET on Friday
Should also see Geoff Geary, Matt Smith and Tom Gordon.
Kyle Davies will oppose J.A. Happ in Friday afternoon's game against the Phillies in Clearwater.
Notes and Pick:
I like this game today and the play is on the Phillies for me. The Braves have a virus that is going through the club house as some of the players are under the weather. Chuck James, Ryan Langerhans, Blaine Boyer, Edgar Renteria and Matt Diaz are all currently battling a virus that has them all feeling quite awful. That combined with the fact that Cox wants to take it easy with some of his vets in the spring (Chipper) make this for a hit and run game for the Braves just get in there and get out without getting hurt. Since he played yesterday I do not expect him to be in the lineup today. The Braves do not want to show the Phillies anything since they will play them on opening day so look for them to play vanilla, proof of this was when they let Smoltz start against the Mets instead of the Phils (he starts opening day).

The Orioles will travel to Fort Myers on Friday for a game against the Red Sox at 1:05 p.m. ET. Staff ace Erik Bedard will get the ball for Baltimore, and he'll be matched against Boston's Curt Schilling.
Notes and Pick:
Bedard has pitched very well this spring. So far this spring, Bedard is 2-0 with a 0.64 ERA and more strikeouts (13) than baserunners via hit (eight) and walk (three) combined.
The sox have faced a slew of lefties this week and because of it Crisp will not be in the lineup again but after a day off I expect Manny will be in the line up.
I like the O's in this game because they are hitting the ball better especially Markikas. I do believe I will pass on this one and look for other ones that might be better.

The Nationals return to Space Coast Stadium on Friday at 1:05 p.m. ET to face the Tigers for the second time this spring. The last time they met was on March 15, with Detroit blanking Washington, 2-0, in Viera. Patterson will oppose Tigers left-hander Nate Robertson.
Notes and pick:
Revenge has no place when it comes to handicapping spring baseball at least not as much as the regular season might. Interesting little tidbit I dug up on Nats starter Patterson today.
Today: Big start for John Patterson. Heard whispers that his velocity is down a bit, topping out at 88 mph. "He's babying the ball," one person told me. He's been talked to about it, and understands it, but I think it's a big start for him. He has only one more in the spring to get ready for Opening Day.
Two things going for the Nats today they are hitting the ball like crazy and Patterson has to step it up for today's start.

Sanchez goes for the fish and he has had a great spring (2-0)
It's simple the Dodgers are playing out the string and could care less about spring games and lost some players (furcal and Repko ) to injuries so expect the key players to not get as much time.
The 8-0 loss to Baltimore ran the Dodgers' losing streak to five, during which they've been outscored, 41-3, with three shutouts.
We're not real concerned with spring games," said Little. "Our No. 1 concern is to get healthy."
