Bad news for Canadian Neteller Users. I copied the FAQ from the Canadian part of the site. Time to get your cash out of the books/poker rooms and into your banks. I just got my money out of Pinny and I hope to have it back in via instadebit by the beginning of baseball season.

Did NETELLER stop allowing Canadian members to make fund transfers with online gambling sites?
With a recent review of its service to Canadian members, NETELLER announced that members who reside in Canada will no longer be able to transfer funds to and from online gambling sites. Read the most recent press release.

When is the last day that I can transfer funds with an online gambling site?
On April 9, 2007 all transfers to and from online gambling sites will be disabled for Canadian members.

Why did NETELLER make this decision?

NETELLER decided to cease online gambling transactions for Canadian members due to increased uncertainty about the status of certain activities related to online gambling in Canada.

How do I know if I am a Canadian member?
If your registered address with NETELLER is located in Canada, you are considered a Canadian member and all of the changes indicated here apply to you.

Will my NETELLER account be closed?
No. You will still be able to use your NETELLER account to securely send funds to friends and family with our peer-to-peer service, transfer funds to non-gambling sites and withdraw funds from your NETELLER account at an ATM using the NETELLER Card.

Is my money safe in my NETELLER account?
Yes. NETELLER keeps all members? funds by holding the value in segregated trust accounts. As the largest independent online money transfer business in the world, we maintain our head office in Europe and are a publicly quoted company on the London Stock Exchange. NETELLER (UK) Ltd is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.

Am I required to withdraw my money from NETELLER?
No, there is no requirement for Canadian members to withdraw their funds from their e-wallet accounts.

Can I still use NETELLER services like Peer-to-Peer and the NETELLER Card?
Yes. You will still be able to send and receive money with our secure peer-to-peer network and you will still be able to withdraw your funds at ATMs with the NETELLER Card. The changes in service to our Canadian members only affect the ability to transfer funds with online gambling sites and to use the instaCASH deposit option.

I am a resident of Canada. Can I still become a NETELLER member?
Yes. The current changes to NETELLER?s business in Canada have no effect on the sign up process.

Why can?t I access my instaCASH funds in my NETELLER account?
NETELLER has made a policy and technical change that has disabled instaCASH for Canadian members.

Will I be able to use instaCASH again?
No decisions have been made regarding the future availability of this product.

How can Canadian members find out about changes to their NETELLER services?

All members will continue to have access to this FAQ site for answers to the most commonly asked questions.

Who can I contact for assistance?
If your question has not been answered by this FAQ, or if you require further assistance, please contact NETELLER Customer Service.

Just wrote to Pinny regarding ewallet.... Here is their reply....

'The information we received from NETeller is they will discontinue their NETeller InstaCASH deposit services to companies like Pinnacle Sports starting 26 March 2007.

As of 9 April 2007, all CAD NETeller transactions will cease with companies like Pinnacle Sports.

Until 9 April, there are no changes in the Pinnacle Sports' policies regarding deposits or withdrawals using NETeller.

After this date you may use the withdrawal options available in your account; FedEx, Bank Wire, Moneybookers or WebMoney. Unfortunately we do not offer Ewallet Express."

so.... any canadians out there using moneybookers or webmoney?

I have used Moneybookers before and not that pleasant of an experience.

I tried funding the account with my amex, which worked fine. When I tried to transfer it to my pinny account they would not allow it. As Amex does not funding to sports betting account. So I called them up and spoke to this girl who seemed to be straight outta some yam yam den. So explained that I could fund my account with my amex but could not transfer it to a sports book. No supervisor available to talk to as well there C/S is a direct dial to England. So after wasting a good 20 minutes of my time and overseas long distance, I tried to validate my bank account, which I could not do as the swift number I gave was not valid in their system??!!

WTF I deal with one of the major banks and they say they cannot recognize the bank??? That is crazy, I gave up after that.

So I am using expresswallet with 5Dimes. I haven't had any problem. Just not as many betting options there as pinny, but it is great for lines and customer service.

Can I just use my Visa or Amex to deposit and withdrawl funds to and from Pinnacle?

Visa yes, with a fax to pinny of front and back of card and id, sent to them within 24 hours.

Amex no. They do not allow it.

I am currently going with 5dimes. They are a sponsor here and expresswallet is easy to use.

Good luck

it is just a huge pain, you set somethng up that works and they take it away.

used paypal which was great even better than neteller. did not have to set up a US $ account. then that went away.

now I use neteller, and has worked well the last few years. now that is gone. will limit my options.

by the way believe the decission is bs, what has changed in Canada.

thanks

I want to stay with Pinny. I'll just probably use Western Union or walk right into my bank and do a wire transfer. Which would be better? I don't care about service charges - I'm just looking for the fastest way to deposit the money into Pinny. If I need to withdrawl I will do the fed-ex cheque mailed to me, but someone just tell me the fastest way to deposit the funds with minimum holds!!

Pinny just wrote me and said they do not accept Western Union deposits. Bank wires take 3-5 banking days. WTF? I thought a bank wire was instant!! Oh well, guess it will have to be bank wire....at least it's safe.

I agree with Kick. Thought I couldn't break away from Pinny, but really enjoy using 5dimes. I know you like Pinny for the props 1837, but I think you will like 5Dimes.

Unless you want to send me the money and I will take your weekend movie action. But I deal in the more Independent/low budget/blue movies. Here is my rundown for this weekend

In Through her out Door Over 150 bucks - 6000
Limited screens

Teenage Mutant Ninja Tramps Over 176 bucks -8000
One Theatre counts Guess which one!!!

and finally

Wild Hogs- Big Girls need love too
Hell we'll pay you to see this one!! 12.35
Sloppy theatres!!

Good luck!!

Instadebit is a solution for Pinny Canadian buddies! :) The only problem is we need a pinny account with CAD currency (means for me to close my us account and opens a cad one...). I wrote to Instadebit to ask them if they plan, in any early future, to do like Neteller or if we will be safe with them... Should hear from them later on today...
