Have to be careful when I say the womans prom..some people might come here and think this post is in the wrong forum....
LSU -1 over Rutgers **** strong play
Tough game and hate big time going against the Lady Nites but...you have two teams that play great defense.RU is here because of there defense.LSU is here because of there defense and there offense. To me thats the most important factor.In particular LSU has best player in the country in Fowles or maybe some like the Vols Parker whose playing next.Fowles is there aircraft carrier...impact player ...more so then Oden is to his Ohio St.She is a tremendous rebounder,can score,has the jump hook,soft touch,great footwork,a greyhound that can out run the gds and a big time shot blocker.But more important then a shot blocker..stays on her feet,doesn't swipe wildly to get into foul trouble and alters interior shooting.Oden please watch her today. You might play more then 3 minutes in a half.
LSU is No 1 in defense allowing under 50 pts a game and No 1 in def Fg% at 32%.LSU has a nice compliment of payers around her.Chaney,White,Leblanc can all play the perimeter when teams collaspe on Fowles.
RU is a team I love esp there pt gd Ajavon.They play Stringers 55 full court press,then back off. They don't trap after midcourt but play there straight man/man.They did play zone vs Ohio St and there aircraft carrier.And today they will have to play more zone then they want too.RU has 4 players all avg 12 pts a game.Vaughen there post player at 6'2 is prone to foul trouble.She's only a soph and still raw.Think LSU will attack her on the 1st few plays.Carson is the BE Pl of the Yr 2 times on defense..Price is a frosh and is out of control a lot.RU needs her to settle down..she is there weak link on defense..RU plays has "no stars,no seniors". A young team that plays 4 freshman a whole lot of minutes.Ajavon is a great pt gd but today will have trouble vs the Tiger gds.
White is a 5'3 waterbug with a great handle of the ball.Chaney and LeBlanc are 5'7 and 5'11.RU defense could have a tough time chasing these gals and doubling down on Fowles.
I think Rutgers full court defense is somewhat negated with White breaking it down.Also think once its broken LSU will attack the hoop.LSU has seen a Rutgers style defense. Maybe Ohio St,Mid Tenn hadn't seen RU pressure but LSU plays in the SEC..the best conf in womans hoop bar none.If you saw Miss play last week..unreal pressure defense...and LSU handled them beating them 52-46.They beat Tenn and the rest of the SEC teams that play the Rutgers style of hoops.Rutgers doesn't get to see the same every nite in the B-east.A recent common opponent was Uconn. RU upset them in a close game 55-47 in the Be finals.LSU destroyed them last week 73-50.
Rutgers making the final 4 is there victory. LSU has been here the last 4 times...RU is young...Tigers will exploit there weakness's and the Tigers have Fowles...that it inself is the biggest factor.My heart goes with the lady Nites but Tigers win this by 10-12 pts.

playing lsu unders has been very profitable. Even low at 110, i like it

the nc game could be tight either way imo
do lean to over.

Agree with both sides, but i'm in bama so SEC bias here. Did parlay both moneylines just to avoid tight games

Tenn -2 over North carolina *** not as strong as LSU
over 138 **

These 2 teams met way back and NC won big 70-57. In that game Parker dominated with 27 pts 10 bds but she got no help from anyone else. Hornbuckle and Spencer shot 3-20 from the 3.It's just what Pat needed.Wake up call..."Cannot stand around and watch Parker".In lyr's "dance" Tenn was elimanated by NC by 10.
NC has the best rebounding team in the country.Little,Larkin,Pringle..wow..they can all score and rebound.Pringle has 117 blocked shots.Throw in maCants and Breeland off the bench and they are solid.Latta is one of the best pt gds in the country.But she really is a better 2 gd since she hit 105 3's.Claytor her partner has 48 triples.Larkin inside is a great passer with over 100 assits..there are few pt gds that have that many assits.Nc plays that 1-3-1 trap defense..and is so aggressive on defense and inside the paint.Tenn has 6'4 Parker who many say is the best player in the country.She will get hers[points] no matter what. the question is will Spencer and bobbit who have hit 61 and 63 3's step up.Hornbuckle can score and pass.Anosike is the post player and will have her hands full with Larkin.Thats a mismatch but Parkers def player is also a problem. Parker can play every position out there but the 2-gd.
This game has a big revenge factor for the Vols...but that doesn't mean much because this is a good NC team.Again a lean goes to the one big stud out there,Parker..I know Latta is close to that status but...
I see both teams scoring,hitting 3's,Parker dominating and the 3 L's and Pringle scoring.Think there are to many offensive threats out there..and the defenses can't catch up.See the score as 77-72...maybe 74-70..somewhere in the 140's...NC has the better athletes and are quicker overall..that scares me a little.Plus I'm still mad at Summit for running the score up on my Marist...bad karma...bad things come to bite you in the butt...Pat forgot that St Peters is in the MAAC along with Marist...can't play games with Peter...if Vols lose ....Pat might have to glance up tonite...but I'll still take her team.

hawk..under 111 isn't bad for LSU-RU..but thats to close. Like the over 138 in Tenn game..see both teams scoring in the 70's.

Ugh. With you all along on the LSU play. Have become a fan of Rutgers along the way, so happy they are winning. Didn't want to see them lose even though I bet against them.

Kia Vaughn - I love her. She kicked Sylvia Fowles butt tonight. Hope #5 (name escapes for some reason as I type) is 100% for the championship game.

LSU had nothing once they got down by double digits. NOTHING. Down by 15 and just standing around on offense, no sense of urgency, can't get the ball to Fowles, and can't get a rebound after throwing up a brick.

Hoping Candace Parker leads the Vols to the title game...

Holy cow....Not sure where to start...Stringer is some coach. Took fowles right out of the game..totally...Starkey couldn't make any adjustments.. Ajavon in 1st half was on fire..Rutgers played in 5th gear and LSU never got out of 1st gear.
Lets go Tenn...trouble is NC is the quicker and more athletic team like Rutgers...but no way Parker does what Fowles did.

not your fault that lsu didnt show up today box...lsu shouldnt have fired their lesbian coach, who cares if she was lickin something that didnt currently play for her, whats the harm in that...they just got out coached and out played tonight.
