Have been looking for BDB to start our weekly thread, but thought I would get it rolling. It's evidently Tony Bennett week, and I can't imagine I'm going to enjoy it that much. If anything, Mangina can probably sing a Tony Bennett song, for crissakes.

it is tony bennet week. what a terrible season and getting worse by the minute. i know i'm early 30's, and young to some people, but wtf.....tony bennet might be great, but his music is awful for american idol. rock star supernova is ten times more entertaining and every contestant on there was better than what AI has this year. they just didn't have many betting options.

even before the spoilers, i'm making two plays for this week....both at pinny

BDB, with Howard Stern being off this week, wouldn't you think Sanjaya's votes could possibily take a nose dive....Howard was great at implementing a 30 to 45 min segment every tuesday to remind people and coax them into voting......with the show on repeat throughout the day, it was a great reminder.......if people dont think Howard's movement is for real....people who never even watched the show before are voting 50 to 100 times just cause of Stern(out of the 6+ million sirius subscribers, i would bet more than half tune into him for a little each day) that could be alot of votes

just hope him being off this week, doesn't ruin this debacle

my friend doesn't have anything and the guy at the other board who has been spot on never posted. they are tight on leaks this week i guess. but who cares.......

heres my personal spoiler:

blake beatboxes a chitty song and makes it entertaining

lakisha tries to whale a chitty song and survives

jordin tries to put a young spin on a chitty song and does ok

gina sux singing a chitty song

haley looks hot singing a chitty song

chris r sings a chitty song while holding his nose to produce optimal nasal effects

phil gets cut off singing a chitty song because the cameras lens breaks

sanjay makes a chitty song entertaining and simon laughs it off

melinda does another ass boring performance of a miserable song and the judges glow about how much of a star she is and she fake smiles and does the "who me...really??? face". its getting old and no neck won't win this. she's just too damn boring and ugly.

as for the effect of howard stern being off, don't think it matters. i don't think that he has the effect everyone thinks. sure it helps, but other dj's and other websites VFW, and such created an underground movement that can't be stopped for at least a few more weeks.

my guess is that he will outlast phil, gina, chris r, and haley before he meets his demise.

it would shock me to see hiim go home tomorrow no matter what he does or doesn't do tonight. his time is coming, just not yet imo

yes, I listen everyday to Stern....thats why i mentioned that he was off this week........ he endorses Sanjaya....callers will call in all the time and say how they never watched the show til now but yet they vote 100 times in the 2 hour slot........if he makes it thru Howards vacation week, Sanjaya could go long ways........its picking up steam all over the country, with VFW.com, Howard and others.....this is the first legitimate shot for a clown to bust Idol and the producers and Simon know it.......

Simon left the show over in Europe or wherever, b/c the fans voting got out of hand...American Idol has jumped the shark.......

Do these producers have any idea who there target group is. I mean come on.

These people are fossils. Well i am in my mid thirties and haven't heard but maybe 4 songs collectively from these fossils.

How in the hell do they expect their teeny bopper followers to even know one of their songs.

No wonder the singers get the songs all fuacked up.

I hope like hell that curly wins, i want to this show to sink, bomb , explode, hell just to go away.

Last night was an absolute disaster, i didn't want to call and make a vote , i wanted to call FEMA.

So true Sponge. The definition of an idol is someone you either want to be or want to fvck depending on your orientaion. She needs to act like she is not only availible but she wants us.

I would guess that Idol has a problem because I would think they attract either the young or the old and not much in the middle.
