The Cardinals will look for a third straight quality outing from Braden Looper (1-1, 2.08), who pitched exclusively as a reliever in his first nine major league seasons before entering St. Louis' rotation this year.
The right-hander earned his first win as a starter on Monday, allowing only two hits, three walks and a hit batter over seven innings of a 3-0 victory at Pittsburgh. He threw 57 of his 94 pitches for strikes.
Sheets is 4-13 with a 4.04 ERA in 21 career starts against the Cardinals - the only team to which he's lost more than eight times. He also is 0-5 in six starts against St. Louis since the start of the 2005 season
St. Louis 0-4 at Busch so far, where St. Louis has managed just four runs and is batting .136 (3-for-22) with runners in scoring position.

Redbirds a home dog in a real nice spot for a win..Probably should be the spot where I begin the 2 units wagers thru BB bankroll but will hold off for now..Haven't hit that torrid hot streak yet nor that frigid cold streak that befalls us all.
