Milw[Sheets] at St Louis[ Looper] +105

The Cardinals will look for a third straight quality outing from Braden Looper (1-1, 2.08), who pitched exclusively as a reliever in his first nine major league seasons before entering St. Louis' rotation this year.

The right-hander earned his first win as a starter on Monday, allowing only two hits, three walks and a hit batter over seven innings of a 3-0 victory at Pittsburgh. He threw 57 of his 94 pitches for strikes.

Sheets is 4-13 with a 4.04 ERA in 21 career starts against the Cardinals - the only team to which he's lost more than eight times. He also is 0-5 in six starts against St. Louis since the start of the 2005 season

St. Louis 0-4 at Busch so far, where St. Louis has managed just four runs and is batting .136 (3-for-22) with runners in scoring position.

Redbirds a home dog in a real nice spot for a win..Probably should be the spot where I begin the 2 units wagers thru BB bankroll but will hold off for now..Haven't hit that torrid hot streak yet nor that frigid cold streak that befalls us all.

Wash.[Chico] at N.Y.[ Maine - 1.5] -130

Mets should be tuff on any lefty starter..Mets off a loss and a rare scoring outburst by Nationals..Maine capable of handcuffing Nationals..

John Maine (1-0, 1.54 ERA) of the right-hander's 15 starts last season came against Washington, and he went 1-1 with a 5.82 ERA. However, the players currently on the Nationals roster have combined to hit .167 (8-for-48) against him.

Matt Chico (0-1, 7.27).

Second start..Chico allowed four runs - one earned - and six hits in 4 2-3 innings of an 8-0 defeat against Atl. AND WALKED 3

First start..he was ripped for six runs and three homers in four innings of Washington's 7-6 win over Florida.

The Nationals have actually received some help from their bullpen of late..Excellant barometer today because I don't see it continuing..If it does then future runline wagers will need a harder look..
