Jones is their closer. He always pitches the 9th. I'm not saying he SHOULD be their closer as Zumaya is 1,000 times better, but Jones is normally in in those situations.

I realize that. I have never understood that philosophy of "Well, he's our closer" who gives a rats when Zumaya just freakin mowed through the 8th 3 up 3 down. I'm glad they did it though.

Completely agree. I've always thought it was risky to take a guy out who is obviously dealing, especially when you're downgrading from Zumaya to Jones.

I got to watch a couple innings of the KC/Detroit game tonight and the Royals once again found a way to lose. They're the sorriest team in baseball. Tough to not like the Tigers in the early game, but... Dejesus is ripping the ball for KC and something tells me the Royals will give a solid effort tomorrow.

Meche is KC's ace and comparable to Bonderman IMO. Big problem is KC's bullpen is the worst in baseball right now.

KC +180 for 5* - If these a-holes lose again, I'm done with them. I was betting against them and then took them the past 2 nights. Hopefully the third time is the charm.

Usually this team will find a way to F it up. Very unusual to see them rally in the 9th. KC specializes in collapsing late to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Hopefully they can build off of this. I'm so sick of the season being over by 4/20 :weed:

Most replies I've ever had on a thread. I don't have a problem with people rooting for the opposite team in my thread if they don't go overboard. On every game, someone wins and someone losses. I just wish I could win 85% of the time and then I could quit my real job.
