Whats up with their bats? Do they even want to try and hit off a chump like Washburn? This is starting to make me worry a bit.:scared

watched the 1st few innings on the dish.

They were hitting the ball hard, a few right a people.

I was thinking it was only a matter of time when I was watching, but now not so sure:shrug:

You're acting as if they have been scoring 9 runs a night. In addition to that, Hunter is hurt. Finally, Washburn rededicated himself to throwing inside to lefties this spring. He had a nice spring and his ERA is actually lower than Santana's going into this game...........Other than that, I'm not sure why they only have one run................

Yeah, they look awful today. Two innings in a row with runners on 1st and 3rd and one out... no runs. Next inning leadoff double... no runs. I think it's because it's getaway day. A lot of teams just mail in the last game of the series when they're on the road. Mental focus just isn't there.

FWIW Washburn pitches very well at home. He's not a good guy to bet against at the Safe. On the road, that's another story...

I also want to add that this isn't at all specific to the Twins. Players nowadays can't do the little things like move runners up, hit sac flies, etc. I would venture to guess that the majority of the times a team has a man on third with one out they don't get him. It's why I never bet overs. You have to rely on clutch hits and fundamentals for overs to come in. Scary proposition in my opinion...
