listen to this garbage

been with cingular for years

had a blackberry 8700c for a couple of years

with 45.00 per month unlimited data on the blackberry unlimited plan

decided to switch to a samsung blackjack about a month ago

mainly to be able to watch my slingbox on the phone

cingular has a 19.99 unlimited plan for smartphones advertised at all their stores and on the website

so I sign up for the 19.99 unlimited plan

well, to make a long story short

get a call from cingular rep yesterday

says the 19.99 plan was a mistake and the plan is really 39.99

he tried to tell me that the rep at the store I bought it from had made a mistake

bs

I then asked him how many people he had called today (keep in mind this is some dude calling from a national center somewhere)

he said he had called over 100 people to tell them this same garbage

my only recourse would be to cancel my plan or get the 39.99 plan

this is garbage

I think they should take the extra $20 a month out of the paycheck of the guy who gave you the 19.99 price..:shrug:

That will make the other sales reps think twice beore quoting a wrong price..

If you got a contract of some sort, they would have to stick with it.

Tell Single that you are going to tell your local news correspondant this story (works like crazy around here)

Or tell them you will go to a competitor with the deal on paper and the story.

cingular has a pda connect plan for 39.99

and a smartphone data connect plan for 19.99

samsung and everyone else classifies the blackjack as a smartphone

cingular has decided to classify it as a pda

wow

yet does not say this anywhere in the fine print

cingular has contacted thousands of people about this and given them the bad news

they should just let it be until the contracts run out

but of course it comes down to money as usual
