Umpire alerts for Saturday's games includes Hirschbeck going in Pittsburgh, and Eddings going in Colorado. These two are the best under-umps in the game?huge strike zones and generally very pitcher-friendly.

I went 3-1 on totals, yesterday, really picking things up there.
Unfortunately, my sides have really tanked. 5 of 6 losing days heading into the weekend.
System sides aren't helping, lately; had the worst day of the year, so far in 2007, yesterday, as system sides went a disgusting 5-10 (not to mention missing a 70 (Mets), a 65 (Astros), and a 64 (Giants).

Crap, I could use a taste of a winning day.
Starts to feel too much like work, otherwise.

Be back to post picks in a bit.

Young is a bit of an over-ump, for this game.
And Texas is hitting lefties a little better overall (.740 OPS vs lefties and .700 overall). They also hit lefties better in '06 (.825 OPS vs L, .790 OPS vs R).
Thing is, Chacin is a perfect 2-0 vs Rangers in 2 starts, with a nice 0.00 era through 14.1 IP (6 hits, 6 BB, 9 K).

With yesterday's game only hitting 8, it may be a tough one to call.

I have a slight lean to Jays, as Millwood has been shaky.

I'm not going to change my ways because of all this recent losing.
Gonna wait this black cloud out.
Should maybe be playing more on the totals, as they're working well for me lately.
Hopefully Hirschbeck and Eddings co-operate (not to mention Belisle,Gorzelanny,Smoltz&Hirsh).
Two of the other totals are system plays (Hou&Det), while on the other?
I just wanna throw a whole unit away on (Jer)Weaver, today; wonder if a trip back to the DL is in his future (Garland due for a good home game, anyway).
I'd go more on the Giants, but the D'Backs have cost me plenty, lately.

That's the report.
Those are the plays.
I'm off to form

May still pound the Giants...it's a late one.

Sunday currently with 8 in the 60's, topping out at a 66 with the Yankees (Wang-Tavarez).

May you prosper long and live
