Race 4: Awesome Gambler

Morning Line on this horse is 6-1. There are some quality horses in this Maiden Special Weight so the odds should stay around 6-1. I saw this colt's last race on 09/21/06 @ Fairplex. He had a horrible trip, however he was closing really fast into some nice late fractions. He got second, but he would have won by 6-7 lengths if not for the trouble. The long layoff is some concern, but he has not missed a beat in the morning:

Joseph Talamo is one of the best bugs to come along in awhile.
One note L7, this time of the year, 3yo colts are not as strong as older(#1 Evaluate (IRE) 5/2). If Baffert was looking for a spot, this would be it.
Talamo wold be your man here. Excellent call.

This horse runs tomorrow(05/26/07) at Hollywood. Race 8 the Alydar Stakes. If you liked his price before its gonna be much better this time because Cobalt Blue, (Merv Griffin's horse) once a kentucky derby hopefull, is going to take a pounding at the windows. Dominguez said that Awesome Gambler came out his last race healthy, he has given him two maintanance drills on:

This horse just pissed on the others today :scared

He was bet much harder than I thought, but $9.60 to win is just fine with me. This horse has made me a boat load of money.
