New England Pats +405 to win the Chip..

Risking 5 units to win a lot of them... :walk:

Brady will have a chance to shatter every passing record known to man..

Yeah, until they start running the ball with an effective running game, and Moss and Stallworth both pull up lame. They can be looked at as a favorite, no doubt, but still some very good football teams in the AFC. What makes Brady a winner is not throwing the ball to receivers that like to streak down the sideline every few plays and take other plays off. He also likes to throw over the middle...an area Moss prefers to avoid. He also will not zero in on anyone...which Moss will grow weary of.

But, they do seem improved. The loss of Dillon might be a bigger deal than one might think, though.

I think Maroney is greater than Dillon. Also think Ben Watson has a chance to be the second best te in the afc. Lets not forget Adalius Thomas. They are 7 or 8 deep at wr. They also picked up welker and washington. Chad Jackson will be a stud imho as well..Yea Moss doesnt always go over the middle, but him and stallworth but run in the low 4.3s or high 4.2s.. NIGHTMARES for safeties

This team is frightening.. :scared

They are worthy of being the favorite to win it all, I would agree. But I wouldn't call them frightening. Keep in mind the fact that Maroney has never been a full time back since his days at Minnesota - he shared time with another good back there (who actually was better in many games than he was) his last year, and before. Big difference at the NFL level between being a part time back and a full timer, not that he necessarily will be.

I guess we'll see what Moss does past the early year excitement, if he is even playing at that time. Good move, no doubt. But he is what he is after the gloss wears off, and it always does.

just because i said that Einstein doesn't mean i bet it. I can prove i took Indy in that game if you would like me to? By the way you seem to get on people about their picks a lot. Is everyone you trash a client of yours? Aren't you the guy who said the Bulls were finished because they lost the last game of the season. Boy they swept the team four straight. This isn't a wrong prediction it was a terrible one and you are from the Chicago area. You would make a good scout for the Eagles

I am going to try and get Brady in one of my fantasy leagues, he could put up some crazy numbers this year with Randy Moss, Dante Stallworth, Wes Welker and Ben Watson...damn I can't wait for football:00hour

It's official....

Joe Heisman is now driving the NE Super Bowl train. We might as well not play next season at all. Wonder if Moss is going to prop up their defense.

GL on your action ABC. I think the "Sports Illustrated" affect by the media on this one will kill NE. If they were an up and coming team instead of one that's getting older and older, I would be more inclined to agree. They ain't sneaking up on anybody and their systems are a known commodity. I think the Bellichek/Moss relationship will be very interesting (see other pussy vs Parcells in Dallas and the results). I got no dog in that fight so I wish you well. Hope Moss gets smoked by a free safety in the pre-season.

Just curious who on their defense or offense is getting old? Maybe Bruschi? The league did a good job figuring them out lsat year, i mean they were 5 points away from the super bowl.

On defense (of the 11 starters)....

Seymour going into 8th season
Vrabel going into 12th season
Bruschi going into 13th season
Colvin going into 10th season
Hawkins going into 11th season
Harrison going into 15th season

looks like more than half

and they weren't world beaters last season now with another year on those paws

btw i doubt one of those lbs starts since they got the best lb in football last year this offseason. And their corners all sucked.. so i expect changes there. Im a little confused with your reasoning. But thats why they play the games

while reading this i was waiting for someone to chime in on this,it took a few replies...one of the best def of coaches may not be enough.off alone does not win any superbows, and the pats will be the 1st to tell u this....their def is average, and will get blown up at home vs the chargers in the afc championship game.

San Diego could present serious problems. IO makes a good point with the age of the D, esp. come late December and January. Granted, the Pats could steamroll and win it all... it wouldn't surprise me. But it also wouldn't surprise me to see San Deigo beat the Pats 34-27 on the road in the AFC title game.
