i have two questions Weasal. 1. did it fall straight down? 2. With this one truck load of gas vaporizing how much do you think gas should go up this week. The over and under is 30 cents.

i) depends on who d"rove"the tanker.......

2) it should go up $1.00 a week until the dems get so much heat from constituents that they`ll stop blocking offshore drilling....

another bill proposed.....watch the hipocrites shoot it down...

is it possible that rosie 'donut`s car was on the overpass at the same time as the tanker, thereby exceeding the maximum load allowed by the designers?...

I'm not sure where you get the idea that this was the first time that a fire had "melted" steel.

From another article:
Heat exceeded 2,750 degrees and caused the steel beams holding up the interchange from eastbound I-80 to eastbound Interstate 580 above to buckle and bolts holding the structure together to melt, leading to the collapse, California Department of Transportation director Will Kempton said.
When bare steel reaches temperatures of 1,000 degrees Celsius, it softens and its strength is reduced to roughly 10% of its room temperature value so as you might imagine, a fire of this intensity weakened the steel girders to the point that their supporting connections failed.

Upstairs watching sports on the big TV.
No ties

No ties

to Al Queda, or homegrown terrorist cell?
Iranian extremist group? Jihad backpackers?
Amock Coleman Lantern employee? Venezuelan Gas Company?

Hmmm.....sounds suspiciously like a truly unfortunate accident...or somebody in Wash D.C. went DANG!!...we should have tied that to Iran and furthered our cause for an illegal incursion and massive civilian deaths.....a missed opportunity....

I was actually up in Reno when this happened, and we passed by the missing freeway on our way back into the city.

Pretty weird sight, seeing a freeway overpass just missing.

Funny thing: When I got home and checked my E-Mail, my father had already E-Mailed me snarky comments about melting steel. He must be channeling GW.

Glad nobody got hurt this time.

I try not to be too hard on him, poor guy has been a lifelong republican in San Francisco.
A thing not for the faint of heart.

Of course such E-Mails usually get a quick "Bush lied, solidiers died" response.

Perhaps your postings should recieve equal treatment :142smilie

yeah... ...and luckily for quinn, the browns outslicked `em.....

the stink-o-meter on the ravens and young qb`s is off the charts......the french have better luck with their military...

witness the ravens drafting the munchkin from ohio st(no disrespect to the height challenged ruffian from florida intended)......i guess they couldn`t get enough of jeff blake...
