went to the yanks a$$ beating on Thursday. I get to a handful of games a year, figures they would get absolutely destroyed the one I go to.

also got destroyed by the book that day as well, but what can ya do:shrug: Mama told me they're be days like that:142smilie

actually had a nice day yesterday but I was at a wedding (who get married on fri afternoon:shrug: ) and couldn't get to a computer. Obviously I only count posted games on my MJ record.

Back in a few with some plays.

Mets over 8.5 (-130) DOUBLE PLAY WINNER

Sheets is 2-2 with a 5.65 ERA in five career starts against New York.

The Mets counter with rookie Mike Pelfrey (0-4, 6.39), who tries again for his first win of 2007. After an effective season debut, Pelfrey has been saddled with the loss in each of his last four starts, posting a 7.32 ERA in those games.

Marlins/Wash over 9 (-115) Double PlayWINNER

Florida -128 Double Play loser

Ricky Nolasco (1-1, 7.30 ERA) on the mound for Florida. The right-hander is trying to rebound from his worst outing of the season. He gave up six runs and 10 hits over six innings - all season highs - in a 6-1 defeat to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday.

Nolasco is 3-1 with a 4.82 ERA in five career games versus the Nationals. He has won his last two starts against them, allowing only three earned runs through 13 1-3 innings.

Washington will counter with Matt Chico (2-4, 6.03), who is trying to avoid his third straight defeat. The rookie left-hander allowed three runs and eight hits over seven innings while striking out five on Monday, but didn't get any support in a 3-0 loss to Milwaukee.

Chico is 0-1 with an 11.42 ERA in two career starts versus the Marlins.

The Nationals have won consecutive games just twice this season - both in April - and have yet to defeat the same opponent twice in a row.
