Greenbay plus 3.5 at home hosting the Eagles. Take Greenbay and the 3.5. They wont need the points but take em any way. Eagles arent good in openers and Mcnabb will be very rusty. GREENBAY + 3.5

That half point looks like a tease. A home team getting 3.5 points always sounds like a good play. What turns me off about this game is the fact that Philly destroyed GB last year on Monday Night WITHOUT Brian Westbrook (I know, the game was in Philly). GB also lost RB Green and I'm not sure if Morency can fill his shoes. You have a good point about McNabb being rusty, but I would still take a rusty McNabb over Favre. I admire his passion for the game, but he should have retired 3seasons ago. I figure he's good for 2 INTs in this game. One of the games that stands out for me is Indy -6. What do you think of that game?

I have no thoughts on that Colts game. Real hard to judge how motivated or unmotivated a team will be after winning it all. I just am pretty sure this game in Greenbay will be an emotional and intense game and if you look at Andy and Donovans opening day record you will see that the trend here is pointing to an Eagles loss. Ill take the 3.5 for good measure. Also looking to play against the patriots in the opener. Just a hunch

i have yet to see Bret Fauve have one decent game against the Eagles when Mcnab is his counterpart. It is like Brett complete forgets how to play. Trust me Mcnab stunk all those games to and would have lost one he was truly pathetic in if Freddy Mitchell doesn't make a great catch on a 4th and 22 in the playoffs.

Michael Vick never wins when hes up against Mcnabb either but two seasons ago on opening day guess what? Atlanta won. Its not so much the matchup but its the Eagles trend. They won last season against the Texans in the opener so if Andy Reids record in openers holds true the Birds will lose this game.

I agree that Greenbay should have beaten the Eagles in that playoff game. Mcnabb was horrible in that game. Also noone knows for sure that Mcnabb will start the season.
Ill take the 3.5

Also the Eagles dont seem to play very inspired when Mcnabb is taking the snaps. I give alot of credit to Garcia for last seasons turn around.

i wish you luck....from what i have read recently there might be internal strife in the g.b. organization between favre & the g.m....also hope that favre doesn't get injured during preseason.

good luck.

Great line if in fact McNabb doesn't start in week 1, which is possible.

But if he does start, pending how the preseason plays out and the GB situation develops, you might lose line value.

It's only May but I have very little feel for this years Eagles team, way too many question marks right now, and that draft threw me for a loop.

I think that the writing is on the wall as far as Andy drafting Mcnabbs predecessor. Eagles had some holes on defense to fill but they were in love with this QB. Mcnabb is over 30 and you know what that means if you are in the Eagles org. Times up and I am sure Mcnabb is looking to redo his deal which the Eagles know also. Time to say goodbye.

Don't you just love it

Don't you just love it

i remember when Warren Moon was the QB at Houston and his replacement was signed, who BTW was the #2 QB. Moon had taken the oilers to the playoffs almost every year. The year he was gone, the oilers took a nose dive and never came back. I hope the Eagles get rid of McNabb so they can take their nose dive.

Just an fyi, I looked back on this matchup and went back 10 years which probably are all games Favre and McNabb played in although I'm not sure of that fact. It looks like they have played each other 7 times during that span. Check out these records:

Philly is 7-0 ats 5-2 su
The o/u in these tilts stands at 2-5

Just like i said. For some reason(well i know the reason but its a little to early to tell people) Fauve stinks up the joint when he is playing Mcnab. The Mcnab the NFL was always promoting. Now if this was before Brett superbowl wins he would destroy Mcnab every time he played him. But this is the life of the NFL. In those 7 games Mcnab stunk in every one but Fauve always threw that key interception to turn the game around.

Now you are out of touch Spy lol. Take your sneaky political views and apply them to the NFL. You will find there isn't much of a difference.

Absolutely, the NFL is scripted. I thought everyone knew that Farve didn't throw INTs against the Eagles b/c he he tries to force passes, or because the Eagles had a nice pass rush and good secondary.

He actually threw INTs b/c he and the commish were scheming to promote McNabb. Really, this is definitely the case.

Good point. I'm tired of ponting out the obvious. I recall you posted last year that Peyton Manning was one of the players on the take. :com: Oops, you may want to rethink that one. Colts won't win the Super Bowl this season, so I guess you will be able to pin it on Peyton going back to his old point-shaving ways:shrug:

I honestly can't wait to see how well you cap this season. For once, you will post plays, rather than spew jibberish a/b conspiracies involving the commish. Given that you are privy to the NFL's scripts, you should rarely lose a play. I guess we'll see, won't we?!

That wouldn't be me saying that about Peyton. Im pretty positive it might have been the guy who started this thread but if it wasn't and if someone said his name i would know who it was. I remember everyone ganged up on him and i suggested he just move on. Guys like you fall for silly stuff like Brett can't win in a dome lol. All he did before he was told what to do was win in domes. He covered the spread almost every week before the Superbowl win. Probably the best quarterback i ever saw. Go check out the Minny game last year where that pathetic quarterback on Minny couldn't move and inch so Brett had to do what he usually does in games that are heavily bet on his side and he threw the little sideline pass right to the Viking and they ran it right back to get the all important cover. Go look at the 4th and 22 playoff game he gave away when he threw up a punt and it landed right in Dawkins hands to give the Birds one last chance. The announcers couldn't figure out why Brett would throw a pass like that. Look i know these are your hero's i understand that, but i live in the world of reality.
