FWIW...if I was plus units for the season this would be a very rare 5 unit play..Great spot and unforeseen value w/Yanks vs Weaver..Despite Weavers record he is allowing Lefty hitters to amass a .319 average against..That is not a good number to walk into Yankee Stadium with against the Yanks who have averaged nearly 6 runs a game..Compound that w/LAA record of 7-11 vs righty starters when LAA is out of the suitcase and average only 3.5 runs a game and solid value w/Yanks..added bonus..Clippard w/solid outing vs Mets in his rookie start..allowing just one run on three hits, and striking out six in six innings of work. He also recorded his first major league hit on Sunday, smacking a double in the sixth inning.
Furthermore in the cases where perceived rookie w/good stuff faces a team who has no AB's vs him there is a huge edge for the pitcher..
