Sure Chicago has some young talent, but add them up and it is going to take 3 to possibly 4 players coming back. Not sure how they work that out and whatever is decided, Kobe has the right to refuse therefore dumping him to an even worse situation is not an option.

He sees the West getting stronger with the top two picks in the draft coming to the conference. One has to figure, the top five or 6 spots each year in the playoffs are already accounted for....Dallas, SA, PHX, Houston, Utah, and possibly Denver. That leaves 2 spots remaining for his Lakers to compete with GST, Clippers, and now Portland-Seattle. I heard that he was pissed because they didn't get Boozer (can't defend) or Baron Davis (too injury prone).

Sucks to be him, not really with 80 plus million remaining on his contract for 4 years.
