Bullpen changes

The Orioles have placed Danys Baez on the 15-day disabled list with tendinitis in his right forearm area. They also recalled James Hoey and purchased Cory Doyne's contract from Triple-A Norfolk.

That leaves one more move, and it apparently will involve Todd Williams.

The team could designate Williams for assignment, though no announcement will be made until later today. He's in the clubhouse.

Baez said his arm has bothered him for the past week. (Insert joke here about how it's bothered fans all season).

Vice president Jim Duquette indicated that more bullpen moves could be made once the team is in San Diego. He said the Orioles would have dipped into Norfolk's roster for position help, but he doesn't feel that anyone is swinging the ball well enough to justify a promotion.
