Get them at times with wedges and when I do even shank chip shots--best cure I found is put the ping eye wedges away for a week--get out the callaways and the diff look cures it:shrug:
For anyone who is really interested in curing the shanks quickly:
Shanks come from the club traveling on an incorrect path which is outside to in causing the hosel of the club to contact the ball first. To cure this simply go to the range or your backyard with your wedge and a two by four. Place the two by four on it's two inch side about two inches outside the ball. Make some normal chip shots gradually increasing the speed of your swing, you will not shank one ball and be back to your normal play in no time.

Yea, and this is what makes you the hateful little psycho that YOU are. Plenty of guys come into this thread and offer their 'advice', and who do you single out to attack, as usual? Me of course. And considering I have forgotten far more about the game of Golf than you could ever know, I think my advice is prob a little better than yours. Or wait, did you even offer any, or did you just come in here running your fat fukcing mouth as usual?
You see he didn't ask how do I make a perfect golf swing douche bag, he asked how do I keep from shanking it. Now, I'm guessing a guy that comes on a forum and asks that is in a pretty desperate situation in his Golf game. So, I happen to know it is dam near impossible to shank the ball with your weight on your heels. You won't catch the hosel, you will catch the toe, AND you will release the club through the shot.

Penquin--that is excellent drill--use variation for putting when I get to taking putter outside a tad--I putt next to baseboard in house--would not suggest it with full swing with wedge though 
What really grates my grinder is that I am trying to spread some reputation points because it won't lwt me hit him with another red card and I am already bored with this.
I'm actually doing some work and waiting for files to download. Helping Agent on his quest to look like a moron just helps kill time.
