Yesterday was certainly acceptable, being a winning day, and all. I got some breaks (Marlins game) and got some burns (D'Rays can't hold 8-2 lead). Went 3-1 on the moneyline; woulda been 4-0 if Reyes can hold a 2-run lead in the 9th?corksucker?; 1-0 on the runline and a poor 1-3 on totals, but I hit one of my 2 big ones, at least; even went 2-1 on parlays, picking up next-to-nothing as the Yankees cost me the big one.
System sides went 10-5 Tuesday, which gives an encouraging 3-day total of 27-13 (67.5% winners). You could almost call that a 12-3, as 2 of the dogs were system recommendations (Astros & Reds) due to high value indicators (I had the Reds?couldn't pull the trigger on the Astros, not the way the Angels came back on Monday).
As for today, I'm probably looking at taking it easy; not a lot that attracts me. Two 70 calls (2-0 yesterday) and three high-60's, but everything is expensive. I may try a parlay shot or two, but I need to look at the high numbers a little more closely. I think that the Mets and the Tigers?the two 70's?are decent bets. Pricey, but the Mets should come through in this mismatch of starters; Perez currently brilliant while Baker is getting pummelled start after start. Gotta like the Mets sticks to wake up, here; it was Santana they were facing yesterday, after all, so the shut-down can be (somewhat) forgiven. Tigers are on fire at the plate, and face another hittable Nats starter here in Bacsik; Tigers OPS vs L at an even .900, tops in MLB (2nd is the Marlins, 58 points lower at .842); Nats OPS vs R .678. Cubs and Jays are also thoughts, but will be small if I attack.
I haven't even really considered totals yet; I might take a look at system recommendations and leave it at that. This is my best month for totals, so far, and I don't want to give back money there like I did yesterday.
Will post what's played.
