Yesterday was certainly acceptable, being a winning day, and all. I got some breaks (Marlins game) and got some burns (D'Rays can't hold 8-2 lead). Went 3-1 on the moneyline; woulda been 4-0 if Reyes can hold a 2-run lead in the 9th?corksucker?; 1-0 on the runline and a poor 1-3 on totals, but I hit one of my 2 big ones, at least; even went 2-1 on parlays, picking up next-to-nothing as the Yankees cost me the big one.
System sides went 10-5 Tuesday, which gives an encouraging 3-day total of 27-13 (67.5% winners). You could almost call that a 12-3, as 2 of the dogs were system recommendations (Astros & Reds) due to high value indicators (I had the Reds?couldn't pull the trigger on the Astros, not the way the Angels came back on Monday).

As for today, I'm probably looking at taking it easy; not a lot that attracts me. Two 70 calls (2-0 yesterday) and three high-60's, but everything is expensive. I may try a parlay shot or two, but I need to look at the high numbers a little more closely. I think that the Mets and the Tigers?the two 70's?are decent bets. Pricey, but the Mets should come through in this mismatch of starters; Perez currently brilliant while Baker is getting pummelled start after start. Gotta like the Mets sticks to wake up, here; it was Santana they were facing yesterday, after all, so the shut-down can be (somewhat) forgiven. Tigers are on fire at the plate, and face another hittable Nats starter here in Bacsik; Tigers OPS vs L at an even .900, tops in MLB (2nd is the Marlins, 58 points lower at .842); Nats OPS vs R .678. Cubs and Jays are also thoughts, but will be small if I attack.

I haven't even really considered totals yet; I might take a look at system recommendations and leave it at that. This is my best month for totals, so far, and I don't want to give back money there like I did yesterday.

Will post what's played.

I think your system may be right about the Rockies !!! What are your thoughts on that game. I'm leaning that way !!!!

Hey bryanz,

I'm on 'em!

Worth a shot at the line.

Hard to risk too much, here, though, vs a hot Pettitte and a (were?) hot Yankees team.

I'm going to put some faith in system calls, here, and see if that 70+ streak that I alluded to happens; 2-0 yesterday and a chance for 4 in a row if I can get wins by the Tigers and Mets. Blue Jays may have a better game against Kuo than they did vs Penny (Jays OPS vs R only .731 but vs L they're at .814; was .817 to end May, so no real drop-off?they're still clubbing lefties well); Kuo may be due for a bit of a stinker?I sure hope so, here; Halladay should perform much better than McGowan did yesterday; it didn't look like it vs Dustin, but Dodgers OPS vs R only .692?of course that has to be raised, here, both at a hitter's park and with the DH added for them; this game was almost another 70+ call, but the Jays poor showing on Tuesday had me lower their number to 69%. Indians and A's, both listed at 66%, have absolutely no value at current lines; even the runline looks like a bad play on these two. Cubs are somehow a system play, with Marquis going; I don't know that I trust Marquis too much, but I believe that Loe's last start?a very good one?was an abberation and not the norm that we should expect from him in the future; Rangers preferring to face lefties these days, too (OPS vs L .817 while vs R it's only .721?Rangers vs R was .734 to end May so it's dropped even more off the charts in June; Cubs OPS vs R .749?that number will go up greatly, here, as Ameriquest is a great hitter's park AND they also get to use a DH in this one. Rockies my other play as I believe in the 52% call for the game, so I've got plenty of value on the juicy dogline.

As for totals, I'm avoiding the system calls and instead going with a pair that seem right, to me. Nyy@Rockies has a system call of 52% under the 9.5, but I have a little more faith in it than that; yesterday's final certainly plays a role in my thinking; if the teams could only score 4 with Mussina and Fogg going then I think this one might stay under; Nyy OPS vs R (yesterday) is .823 but vs L it's only .771; Rockies OPS vs L only .724?pretty low considering they play half of their games at Coors. My other total thinks that someone, somehow, between Weaver & Maholm, is going to have a really crappy day; Weaver I shouldn't have to comment on and Maholm's last start?a good one?was probably an abberation; M's clubbing lefties pretty well (OPS .774) and got a warm-up yesterday against a much tougher Gorzelanny. Twins under 4 was my closest team total, but I'm already into the Mets for a chunk so I'm hoping for a low Twins total regardless.

That's it from here.

Thanks a lot, guys.

I've checked the early scores, finally (awaking) and though hitting nothing, they've left me confident about tonight...

System sides 3-1 in the afternoon, missing just a call on the d'rays (55%, which I wouldn't have touched with a ten-foot pole after they blew yesterday's 8-2 lead.

System totals 1-0 so far, too, calling the Reds-A's game under the 8.5.

Save for the Rockies game all of my action is early evening; I'll try and get my Thursday numbers up by 11 or 12, tonight. Small board (5 games) so it should just take me 5 minutes to prepare (games already 'capped); I like to update "yesterday"s results in my thread but I can always do an edit if I have to.

Go Mets!!:00hour

Go Tigers!!:00hour

Go Blue Jays!!:00hour

:00hour Jays!

Thanks to the Big Hurt's Grand Slam, this one looks in the bag (8-0).

Tigers up 3-0 is encouraging, too.

Just need the Mets to get to Baker.
Should happen.
