If you would like to download Sicko you can find it here. Plus if want to burn a dvd try dvdflick.net. To download Sicko you have to download their player first, everything is FREE, no matter what pops up. Run it throught dvdflick and you can play it on just about any dvd player, and it's all free. Two of my very most republican friends saw this, and both -- very begrudgingly -- said it was excellent.

i`m not spy`s biggest fan...that`s no secret...and i get tired of the constant,unending anti-americanism.....that`s all he provides.....so i zing him ...

it was just a lame attempt at humor....i`m a tad hung over from last night....

a bridge to far?.....o.k....noted....but i didn`t see any consternation when eddie was calling me f-ckbrain(or something similarly unoriginal) yesterday.....

still,i accept the double standard.....nothing new...

you guys can nail me with a few of those unfavorable boxes.....

consider me chastised...

btw...anybody with two neurons to rub together.....that thinks that cuba`s health care system compares favorably to the u.s.`,needs to fly down there the next time they need their triple by-pass or their lazer eye surgery.....

the whole concept of this movie is an utter sham...

i`ll never understand this irrational left wing hatred of your own country.....

bush will be gone shortly(not soon enough for me,btw)....he`s not a fixture.....unlike some leaders(castro?)...

we hit the birth lottery(smurphy or kosar`s quote,i believe),for chris- sakes...stop taking it for granted....you`re embarrassing yourselves and your fore-fathers...

perhaps you should view the film before making that statement.

I agree with you about Eddie getting away with some rather hateful speech on occassion. I think certain people are allowed some luxuries in that department - it doesn't seem to be based on political views though.

As for Spy, you can always give him a red card. I like him, but I still had to award him red because he gives aid and encouragement to terrorists.:nono:

o.k...but i honestly wouldn`t be shocked if he WERE a terrorist or sympathizer(spy, not eddie:142squint ) .....and i`m only half kidding...

i do believe that socialized medicine sucks...waiting lines, poor care(see britain, canada and france)......and the taxes that poorly fund these systems are utterly unreal.........

you have to realize that almost all new drugs and treatments generate from our system here in the u.s....not the socialized systems....

the beauty is,that nobody`s forced to get their care in the u.s....you`re free to go where you choose foe a major surgery or procedure....

as far as seeing it...i just can`t bring myself to the point of actually spending money to see this crap.....and enrich this whale(who should be forced back out to sea,imo).....

I don't really have a stance on our medical system other than that we should allow a free market system when it comes to pharmaceuticals. If we did that, there would immediately be a huge drop in costs across the board. No reason to protect the drug makers the way the government has been doing.

Also, people need to take more responsibility for their own health in this country. It's not fair for health conscious people to foot the bill for fat asses who eat, drink, and smoke their way into permanent poor health. On the other hand, I think the country does a have a responsibility to provide top niotch care for veterans and anybody who risks life and limb for our safety - cops, firefighters, etc.

I don't know if a more socialized system would be beneficial or not. There are pros and cons to both sides of that argument.

IF<IF< this was done by anyone else and with no visit to Cuba. Say Cheney. Then so many of you would say see it's all true. There's lots to think about. Were slipping why? We pay 200% more then we did 6 years ago to go wrong way. As I said in different post. That story In USA Today Tuesday was shocking. Emergency rooms with folks left sitting hours. The wait to see a Doctor 2 to 3 months. All the things conservatives say will happen if we get some type national plan to help everyone out some. Well it's here already. It's time to reverse things with new ideas.

Okay so we create cutting edge technology but how about service. You need both. You could have the hottest bus, but if it doesn't pick up a lot of people, what is the point?

"the beauty is that nobody is forced"? Plzzzzzz....
Yea it is just so easy to get that plane ticket, or take that 700 mile journey to the border with today's gas prices. come on now, get real

WEAKK takes my fellow mj'er!!

As for development of new drugs. Many come from out side USA drug companies. More will in future to if we don't get our heads out our asses about stem cell research. And in over 50% of this country it already takes us as long to see a Doc as it does in those bad systems like Canada and France.

Weasel:

As tired as you as you are of the "...constant, unending anti-americanism..." I am likewise similarly disgusted with the constant, unending america can do no wrong garbage that spews out of your fingers and others of your ilk.

Like the Japanese in 1941 who felt threatend by the growing American presence in the Pacific, we invaded another country causing hundreds of thousands of deaths. Unlike the Iraqi's, we were an actual threat to the Japanese.

There was no reason to invade Iraq. The Bush administration used fear, patriotism, God, pride, and arrogance to accomplish this goal which was in the planning stages before 9-11. You can others of your kind continue with the pride and arrogance that we can exert our will on whoever we want because we are the strongest military power in the world. Is that not the neo-con philosophy drawn up in the 1990's?

Yes, it is. This conduct is uncivilized, criminal, and has most certainly doomed this nation to more extreme violence in the future. He destroyed an opportuninty the world had to destroy or significantly cripple world terrorism. But no, he decided to be a cowboy.

He doesn't trust intellectuals. By God, thats what we need. Anybody can punch someone in the mouth. The smart person can avoid the fight and get what he wants. By far the worst administration and probably the administration that finally does us in.

See, I got through that without calling you a name, you numbskull. By the way, kiss my ponytailed skinny white ass you Irish-Jewish Benedict Arnold step son. Just what we need around here, a drunk too cheap to buy a drink.

Saul your positiioning for the middle is way too obvious. You and AR outta team up and run for the presidency of the general forum. Both you clowns have been trying to appease everyone. You are both spineless jellyfish.

I like, Gene McCarthy and Ralph Nader before me would rather run on a platform of truth to my own belief systems instead of trying to garner the popularity that the two of you seem to crave.

Actually, if there ever were such an election or poll, I would choose Vyrus as my running mate. A little royalty, youth, and bankroll never hurt any ones chances.

Who really bringing down this country?

Who really bringing down this country?

I'am anti-american? I want Americans to be able to get medical help when they get sick. Not just emergency care, but long term care and not carry that debt to the grave. To keep people from crossing the borders by the thousands every night, something Reagan was suppose to do some 20 years ago, and i'am still waiting. Now Bush is singing the same song. No amnesty. Build a wall, fine employers and deport anyone who does not belong here. Bush vetoed stem cell, this is the kind of @sshole he is, if 10 years from now he was to get sick and stem cells would cure him , he'll be the first in line to save his own @ss, him and Cheney. The US is pouring 8 billion dollars down the drain in Iraq a month plus 70+ killed and hundreds wounded, if you think that's ok then you're pro American? You're a dumb American. You don't care where this country is headed. You are the sheep the government and corporations are feeding off and you will defend this system to the death, but not your death, your neighbor's or his son's death, that's the Repubs way.

I'll have to digest this criticism. I'll understand it more if you put in the form of a red card.

The middle is how you maintain your strengths without blowing up the world. It's how you show compassion and generosity without giving away everything. The middle is the result of getting past kneejerk partisan reactions and understanding the bigger picture. The middle hates the current administration, but understands why the majority of Americans ended up voting them in.

I am sorry that you can't appreciate these ideals, pseudo-pop.

Sincerely,
Saul

PS - Leave AR out of this. It's getting close to football season, and he can't afford these distractions.

As embarresed as I am to have you as my mentee, I will never give anyone a red card. For that matter, I will never give anyone a green card. Let me yellow card you as my cautionary warning. I do not believe in God, UFO's or the card system.

I am just ashamed of you. You are bright, imaginative, creative, and were damn close to being an elite poster like myself. You were the son I should have had. I love you Maximus.

Instead what have you turned out to be? Shall I call you Hillary? McCain? No, I think I shall call thee, Commodus. You've killed your father.

You will always be remembered as the one who named me 'Saul.'

Shall I call you Hillary?
Yes, I would like that very much. She understands the big picture. Unfortunatley, she is villified. She makes too much sense, I guess.

I'm sorry I'm not what you thought I was. That happens though. You agree with someone on one or a few issues and they assume you are just like them about everything. Such is not the case.

It's all good though. You have Sponge.
