This is one place I would never want to live, probably not even visit. I'm a country bumpkin at heart though...and can only take the concrete jungle for small periods of time. Hong Kong is the most densely populated city in the world. I wonder if anyone here has ever been there? Would be interested to hear your take on the city.

Hong Kong Island: 45,400 people/sq mile

Photographer Michael Wolf lived there for 10 years and has some great photos of the city... I thought they were pretty cool. The first two photos here are just skylines of Hong Kong - the rest are from Michael Wolf. If you like photos of cities, I think you will enjoy them. One of his portfolios is called "Architecture of Density" and the photos truly reflect the dense nature of the city.

Just think how tall you would be there:mj07:

Bad joke, seriously, I work right in the heart of downtown Nashville and have thought many times how nice it would be to wake up and walk across the street to work. But to give away the modern conveniences of having a yard, having a grill, walking right outside the door to your car and driving somewhere, much less paying $400,000 for 800 square feet, I will continue my 30 minute curse at everyone on the road commute each day.

Tell em HH, these illiterates need to check out my books if they want to see what the good old days were like in the cities before the upward sprawl!

Great photos and congrats on cashing at Caesars:00hour

Yep....been there. A complete sh1thole. Although a mate of mine worked in the financial markets there for about 6 or 7 years and retired when he returned to Australia. He was about 32 years old when he came home. So it has its upside.

Been there on overnite on couple of occasion sbefore heading mainland--always enjoyed it because many speak English--area I stay would be shoppers paradise--nothing but shops for blocks--downside was not much for crowds--

If you ever go I found great cab driver (Sammy) that I met 1st time there (interesting story)and used every since--can scan you his business card if you decide to go.

HH--Been there twice-will not go back. The difference between the good and the bad is great. Sad place-things are built on tourists, sex and young people being almost like slaves--great areas of slums and rich areas. Feel sorry for thier people. Colorado mountain country is alot better and th place to live.

Interesting comments by those who have been there - about what I figured...

Smurphy, there could be more...it's a long time until football season. I would start a hot girl series like blgstocks did last year, but to me cityscapes are more interesting...lol

And yes, you should all buy dunclock's books! He sent me a great book with historic photos of Denver - very interesting to see it back then as compared to now.

Thanks wareagle - despite my reservations, I am adding Hong Kong to my list of places I want to visit. Like I said, I'm not one for city life, but my best experiences in life have come when I step out of my comfort zone, so that makes me want to go there even more.

Haven't made it to Asia yet...can't wait to go - all my friends tell me great things about it.
